Now when the apostles who were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent Peter and John to them. Acts 8.14

In the work of God, there can’t be envy nor covetousness. It will be better if the person puts his own will aside and doesn’t take decisions that seem appropriated to him. Besides, you mustn’t ask the advice of the masters of science of men to help you with their scientific knowledge. After all, the marketing at church and the application of any human knowledge only hinder the work of the Holy Spirit.

Everybody must work so the lost ones learn the way of salvation, the sinners be converted and the needy reach their blessings. The pattern has already been established by the Lord Jesus through the work he did in His ministry on Earth. In His Words, we see the precise translation of the Father’s will. In them, we acquire power to fight against the enemy´s forces and defeat them.

We can only help the neighbor with the gift the Father has granted us. Sovereignly, He releases us His gifts to fulfill His purposes. We don’t have the power to decide what to do in the Lord’s harvest but obey what He says. Yet our heart sympathizes with somebody’s suffering, only with the divine direction we will be successful in trying to help such person. The beginning and the end of the work comes from God.

The important thing is to spread the Word to everybody, and the sign we reach them is when they accept the Gospel. Those who accept to be used by the Most High never doubt that He was then One who called them. When God puts someone in contact with us, He already gave us the power to help him. He who is sent by the Lord must speak and act as He would do if He were in your place.

When the apostles came, they saw the wonders that the Most High was doing through Philip and, soon, they started to minister the people. The greatest necessity at that moment was for the newly converted to be filled with the Holy Spirit. They taught them, prayed for them and laid hands on them for them to be filled of heavenly power. The Lord honored the work of those servants, and many converted were full of the Holy Spirit.

The Kingdom of God had come to them when Philip announced the Lord Jesus and, with the Baptism with the Holy Spirit, ministered by the apostles, the new birth occurred. Then, they became part of the Body of Christ. Every individual who accepted Jesus as Savior should seek the fullness of Spirit, thus, the process of conversion is completed.

The proof that the Kingdom of God had come was that the demons were cast out, the sick were healed and the work of great miracles. When the Kingdom comes to one person or to a group, the demons are cast out and the Father fulfills His signs. The wisdom of the apostles made the great happiness that invaded Samaria not be wasted.

In Christ, with love,

Father! The world was beginning to understand that the work of Jesus wasn’t done only on behalf of the Jews. When You sent Philip to Samaria in order to speak about Christ to those people, Your heart was full of joy since the gentiles would be saved.

What do You want us to do? We have many “Samaria’s” amongst us: groups of people that have always been excluded of salvation for lack of wisdom of those who served You in the past. Help us not to make the same mistakes.

The church was united. Philip won the Samaritans, baptized them and then the apostles sent Peter and John to pray for them and lead them to baptism in the Holy Spirit. Lord! Where are those we should send to fulfill the work?
