But You, O Lord, are a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering and abundant in mercy and truth. Psalm 86.15

When the Word is revealed, God shows the door that you must enter to receive what it announces. Like Jesus, we must knock the door so that it opens, for all who knock the doors that are shown by the Lord – the revelations of the Word – can expect them to be opened (Lk 11.10). Thus, we may enter, get whatever we want from what was revealed and enjoy the blessings.

The psalmist understood that God was filled with compassion. Hold fast to what you understand of Him, for sooner or later, this understanding will be very useful. Undoubtedly, He is the best Master of all the Earth. His lessons are never useless and His explanations are more than a complete answer about a subject. The revelation of the Truth brings the necessary power in order to equip you with virtue for you to be victorious in battle.

In all His works, compassion – the love of the Lord – is present. The Omnipotent does nothing out of wickedness, hatred, or resentment. Even if He is executing judgment, He knows how to separate those who believe in His Name. His mind is millions of times faster than ours, and in a small fraction of a second, He finds the solution to every problem inside His love.

The only attitude that God asks from us is that we please Him, walking by faith and not by sight (2 Co 5.7). If we despise the faith and consider what we see as true, we will displease the Lord, who wants you to live, looking to yourself as He sees you. Although we fail and many times are deceived by the enemy’s proposals, we must be what the Word reveals about us.

The Most High is a sufferer. He does not give up on us, even though we do not think twice in lying to save our own skin. However, why should we do something bad, and after, deny everything whenever we are questioned? Do we not know that the lying answer is another sin, which will be there until we confess it? Anyhow, one day, God will stop suffering for our perversity, and then, woe to him who walked astray.

The Lord is great in his good kindness, or in his kind goodness; however, there will be a day in which His patience will end. When He destroyed humanity in the days of Noah, in the Flood, He said that we would not struggle forever with man (Gen 6.3). Therefore, do not get used to doing wrong, thinking that the Lord will not matter with it. Sin creates a barrier that separates us from Him and covers His face (Is 59.2). There is no acceptable excuse for sinful actions.

God is Truth (Jo 14.6)! Whoever says the Truth manifests justice (Proverbs 12.17). The truth never brings shame, but sets free, heals and gives dignity to whoever assumes it. It is powerful, majestic; it separates us from the blazes of fire, makes the desert tremble – the place where many times, like Jesus, we are led to be tempted by the devil (Mt 4.1) –, gives us strength, and blesses us with peace.

In Christ, with love,

God, only and total Truth! Thank You for being full of compassion, merciful, suffering, and great in goodness and in Truth. How we need You, for if You are by our side, as it happened with Israel in the past, our problems will be over.

It is not possible to imagine what we would be like if You were not what You are. Now, we would like to think what we can be with Your presence and holiness in us. Undoubtedly, there is much more prepared for us to enjoy than what our minds can conceive.

Give us to drink from Your Spirit, Your wisdom, and Your love. Coat us with Your strength, and then, we will be able to give You the highest praise. Lord! We only have this time to struggle and bring more people to Your knowledge, so that they may live happily and complete in You.
