We have heard with our ears, O God, Our fathers have told us, The deeds You did in their days, In days of old.  Psalm 44:1

There are two ways to obtain spiritual understanding: by what we hear from the Lord and what people tells us. In both cases, the Holy Spirit is necessary. He is who teaches us all things, reveals us what was told in the Heavens and guides us in all Truth – the Word of God (John 16:13). Without His ministry, we cannot obtain divine help; then, we will walk in darkness and stumble (John 12:35). 

However, it is of no use praying, asking for wisdom, for it is given to us when we keep and fulfill the statutes ordained in the Scriptures. The followers of this way will surprise many people and will be known as wise and intelligent (Deuteronomy 4:6). For example, when the woman with the flow of blood heard about Jesus, she understood that she had to touch His garments in order to be healed, and thus, she received the blessing she so much wanted. 

When the Midianites were destroying Israel, the answer to the Israelite’s cry came through the prophet sent by the Most High who was to make them understand the error they were committing. Only Gideon understood the message, and for this reason, he was raised to deliver his people from that misfortune. He who gives ears to God´s words become fearless and manage to put His power in action.

Faith is master to those who hold it and it causes them to be in control of the situation. Therefore, it must be sought like miners, with dedication and hard work. The person who does not accomplish what it says is deceiving herself with false speeches. Now, the revelation of what is written is the truth, and he who does not submit to it nor practices it is surely influenced by the enemy. We cannot listen to any person, only to the Lord. 

When a servant used by the Most High reports us the path he walked through to be successful, we become aware of the facts only in theory. However, if we also put the Scriptures into practice, like he did, faith will sprout in our heart and we will accomplish the same works of that person or those of the Lord Jesus (John 14:12). When we receive faith, we will know how to proceed. 

All deeds of God must always be told; thus, man can hear the Holy Spirit. One of the greatest benefits done to thy neighbor is to tell the deeds of the Almighty God in favor of His servants.  He who sows the Good News will be rewarded in eternity, for he accomplished the most important work on Earth. 

Those that hear how the Omnipotent act have their lives changed forever, for, when they are enlightened by the Word, they know the Truth. From the moment someone learns the will of God, he or she will never be the same. That is why we must carry out the message of the Lord in season and out of season (2 Timothy 4:2).
