Thus says your Lord, The Lord and your God, Who pleads the cause of His people: “See, I have taken out of your hand The cup of trembling, The dregs of the cup of My fury; You shall no longer drink it.  Isaiah 51:22

God would not make an announcement like this if it was not very important; therefore, every attention must be given to what He speaks. Without a doubt, when taking out of our hand the cup of trembling, He would deliver us from the empire of darkness. Thus, the devil could not keep us under his subjection and, thus, that which seemed endless would come to an end, as if it were our mission on Earth, and happiness would open up its door to us. 

He identifies Himself as the Lord, our God. So, we are not standing before something that would not happen, for, if He happened to be defeated in this plea, how would He stand before Himself or the enemy? However, any defeat to the Lord and to us is simply out of the question, because He is the Almighty and, at the same time, our God. Stand firm in this declaration and seek to know the power in it. 

The Most High says He pleads the cause of His people, which has already taken place in the death of Jesus at the Calvary. Today, to ask Him to plead the cause of His children is actually to go back to the Old Testament, when we are actually in the New Covenant, which is better and was accomplished over better promises (Hebrews 8:6). We have to believe that our cause was requested by the Lord; therefore, we must demand what was done to us and He will do it. 

Adam´s sin put in the hand of man the cup of trembling for him to drink, and many still hold this cup. Although they drank a lot from it, it remains full of the devil´s hatred towards mankind. Don’t drink from this cup anymore, because the promises of God have Jesus’ yes. The attitude of a Christian during our days must be positive in all things. 

God compares what existed in the cup of trembling with feces; therefore, you should never want to go back to the condition man had before the Calvary. There is nothing good to mankind in the cup that millions of people still drink from. Because they don’t know what was done in the death of Christ, we must do what we can so that they learn that they can change the cup. 

To finish with His disapproval over the cup of trembling, the Lord shows us His fury, by classifying these things with strong, but true words. The fury of God against sin is so big, that He calls the content of this recipient as the dregs of His fury. Why do many people still drink from this cup? The reason is not to know the Truth. 

God tells us that we will never again drink from this cup of trembling. Everyone can leave it aside and begin to have an unwavering faith in Jesus and live the best from Him.   The Most High gives us the cup of salvation to acquire power and get rid of the clutches of the evil one.
