Indeed before the day was, I am He; and there is no one who can deliver out of My hand;I work, and who will reverse it?  Isaiah 43.13

If you are facing a difficult trial, in which all things are making you believe that there is no solution for your problem, at the moment that you have understood through the Word of God that the Lord wants to bless you, rejoice and testify that you have already received what you needed. Even if some symptoms persist, or even if the desired and promised blessing does not appear to be coming, do not let the devil deceive you, because the Lord has guaranteed the blessing!

Many years before David became king of Israel, Samuel the prophet had anointed him for such position by God’s order. Although this may have taken some time to come to pass, the decision had already been made and would be fulfilled. However, a person who looked at Saul – who was still reigning and, with three thousand soldiers, searching every inch of the land of Judah – would say that David would never become the ruler of that people. But was the Word of God going to fail?

The same thing could be said about Jesus. Right after the wise men told Herod that they were going to worship the newborn King of Jews, the ruler of Jerusalem told them to bring back word to him about where the young Child was because he also wanted to come and worship him. He was trying to be smart, but after realizing he had been deceived by the wise men, he put to death all the male children who were in Bethlehem and in all its districts, from two years old and under.

The Lord who honors his Word did not let Israel without His chosen one to be the king, just like he did not let mankind without the Messiah. What God wants you to do will become clear very soon, as long as you do not give ear to the devil. When the Almighty speaks, no one can hinder his plans. He knows exactly what to do to fulfill what has been said.

Consider the example of Paul the apostle. Because of Paul’s conversion, the Jews wanted to kill him to prevent the gospel from reaching those who were lost. However, the Lord worked through all things and delivered Paul from all sorts of traps that had been set for him. In Damascus, Paul’s enemies watched the gates day and night to kill him, and the disciples had to let him down through the wall in a large basket. This proves that man’s plans are powerless in face of God’s purposes. 

In the history of church, there were many efforts and attempts to prevent salvation from reaching the ends of the earth. Nevertheless, this only helped further advance God’s kingdom. Lavoisier, a prominent French chemist, said Christianity wouldn’t last another hundred years, but when his unfounded prediction completed 50 years, the house where he lived in Paris became a branch of the Bible Society.

Adolf Hitler led the most terrible persecution to Abraham’s descendants, according to the flesh, but his crazy plans did not succeed. Similarly, Lenin and Stalin’s struggle to destroy faith in Christ in Russia did not prosper as they wished. Although the soviet leader killed more than 20 million Russians, freedom finally came to that people. When God works, who will reverse it?
