If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it. Genesis 4:7

They were only two brothers in the world that should be friends, loving and helping each other.  However the firstborn became the first murderer, by killing the youngest. Tragedy!  How badly Adam and Eve must have felt, seeing Abel lifeless, slain and fallen.  Many families have had similar experiences, for not having served God, their children imitated this and fell prey to the devil.

The motivation for this brutal murder was that the Lord did not receive or accept Cain’s offering which was made without love or faith.  Having been created by God who is the Origin of Life, all must honor Him in their actions.  The Almighty is not taking anything from anyone, He is certainly giving.  If the Lord leads you to understand you should offer something to Him or to His work, this request is for your benefit.  After all, in giving we receive.

Never let the devil into your heart because if this should happen you will not act like a human being, but as a slave to Satan.  Besides being used for the devil to do harm to somebody, you will taste how evil he is, for he will not leave you unharmed.  No matter if someone helps the enemy in some way, the devil will always act against this person and everyone else. 

The Bible says that Cain belonged to the devil ( 1 John 3:12)which is why he killed his brother.  Before the crime was committed, God told Cain that sin was at his door and if he practiced goodness instead, he would not be overcome by sin.  But Cain walked the path of evil by his own volition.  Those who do not obey the Lord will one day have to recognize that they committed the greatest foolishness in their lives.  Be careful!

Those who practice goodness find the Almighty’s acceptance, but, if their deed does not come from a pure heart, God cannot accept it.  Therefore, never allow to be convinced by the devil’s ideas.  There will be a price to be paid for each error committed.  The devil wants to make you a repository of sufferings.  The only way out from under the dominion of the genius of evil is to surrender your life to Jesus.

Claim for yourself what God told Cain as if God Himself has told you, because the same devil that tempted Adam’s first born will not give up practicing evil on whoever might be.  He roams through this world tempting people right and left and unfortunately many listen to him, sealing their fate in eternal damnation.  If you have been influenced by the king of evil, repent and convert yourself now. Amen!

When we obey God’s advice we are prevented from taking orders from the one who only wants to steal, kill and destroy.  Better it is to serve Christ who not only paid the price for our deliverance from the empire of darkness, but is also Almighty.  Without Him you will achieve nothing, complete and absolute nothing!  Amen!
