Nothing happens by chance. Good things take us by surprise because our God loves us and does more than we know, think or believe. Whoever walks with the Almighty is on a “honey moon” with His power, being constantly pleased by what He does in favor of His people. There is no lack for those that obey the will of the Lord.
Those who watch over their house will have no problems with thieves. But the lack of communion with the Father will render your faith without nutrients to strengthen it. Remain firm in what God tells you, walk according to His perfect purpose and when the enemy comes, confront him with the Holy Word. The devil comes like a thief, unexpectedly; but those who know his tactics are never taken by surprise.
One crucial error of Christians is to discredit Jesus’ advice. He taught us to examine the Holy Scriptures to learn what it tells us about ourselves. Take root firmly in God and avoid the invader breaking in to your house. Use the Bible as your guide, consult it and every time you need it you will find it to be a fruitful friend.
Face necessity like a soldier prepared for war, where you either kill or you die. You never play with a person that is armed and allow them to act at will. The intent of presenting one’s self with a weapon galvanizes our attention so that we are not caught off guard. Jesus said this, so beware!
The unclean spirit that controls a life’s needs will see to it that the Scriptures are not read. This way, when attacked by evil, the victim will be in no condition to retaliate or resist the infernal onslaught. Often times, success is like an alcoholic drink – it takes you to a state of lethargy to disregard the signs of the proximity of evil. Flee from error and its unfolding consequences.
On the other hand, failure is like the weakening of bones. In situations where greater effort has to be exerted you will see its structures shatter into pieces. There has to be a middle of the road. We must act according to the norms of the word. The enemy is hard put when trying to control anyone who is firmly placed in the Lord. So resist the devil and he will flee your presence. (James 4:7)
Be prepared to be used by the Most High as He wills and pleases. Be sober and watchful always in all things. Flee the lies of the enemy and no matter how terrible the evil may be, you will triumph if you heed the counsel of the Lord.

Lord! By loving us You surprise us with special deeds, even if we have fallen into the hands of the enemy. Although we have not done what You desire, we know You will show us the way.
Father, nothing happens by chance, even better yet: You surprise us with Your interventions. If there is no shining light we can count on You. Father, shine Your light to our path, calm our hearts and lead us according to your will.
From now on, may this reader learn to watch and to keep his house; and that no thought of the enemy may invade his life. You are our Master and many things that happen to us are useful to lead us closer to You!
