If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. John 15:6

Chapter 10 in the book of John begins with Jesus opening His heart upon us and about Himself, saying He is the true Vine and declaring that the Father is the Vinedresser, who carefully watches over the Vine, delivering it from the fruitless branches. He warned that the spiritually barren will not abide in Him, for they will be cut off, and the branches bearing fruit will be cleansed to produce even more. How nice!

In the course of the days, we are being cleansed by the work of the Word, which teaches what the Most High wants from us. Thus, we are being prepared to fulfill our mission as we have been grafted onto Christ. The fruits sprout if we agree that the sap of the Vine passes through our lives. God does the work as He pleases; therefore, allow Him to use you for good production.

By accepting Jesus as your Savior, you have been grafted onto Him and you are prepared to receive the productive virtue of the Vine and bear fruit. Of itself no branch can do anything but only what the Lord allows it to produce. Therefore, surrender to the Creator, always reading the Scriptures and praying, is the secret to being useful in His hands.

The fruitless Christian has no fellowship with the Most High. A branch is never seen striving to produce anything, but, in a gentle and natural way, at the right time, it reveals its importance. Pray so that with love and dedication you will show your usefulness in the Body of Christ!

The Master did not say that we will bear fruit occasionally, but that we will bear much fruit (verse 8). It’s good to take this advice and believe in it to produce a lot. Otherwise, you will not be serving Him. The Lord did not say that some would be used to produce abundantly, but that the person who is in Him will produce much. What a wonderful God we have, so much so, that He uses us in such a great way!

Some are already cast out and, like the branch, they will wither away. If you feel this way, talk to Him and ask the Vinedresser to graft you back again. Otherwise, you will be removed and thrown into the fire. There is still time to re-enter the Vine and to enjoy the power It has to bear fruit for the Kingdom. Nothing compares to being useful in the hands of the Most High. So why not repent and seek God’s help?

From the day you accepted Jesus as your Savior, you were grafted onto the Vine. Now, you are able to bear fruit for the Father. Seek Him while there is still time to find Him! Meditate on being thrown into the fire! Would you like such a thing to happen to you? Isn´t it better to prepare yourself to give joy to the Lord? Be a winner!
