Hiram also said: Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, who made heaven and earth, for He has given King David a wise son, endowed with prudence and understanding, who will build a temple for the Lord and a royal house for himself! 2 Chronicles 2.12

The Lord is the one and only and perfect God. The gifts and presents He gives us are perfect. He knows what will happen in all ages and for this reason, when He lifts up preachers, leaders, or people to occupy a place where they aren’t even remembered, He does so for eternal purposes. Therefore, it is good to constantly pray so as to never have unpleasant surprises nor say that the Most High has erred.

Hiram, king of Tyre, was a reasonable and wise man in the days of David and Solomon. His zeal and prudence are seen at the very beginning of David’s reign over Israel. For seven years, Jesse´s son ruled only Hebron (1 Chronicles 29:26,27). But sensing that God was with the future king of all Israel, Hiram sent him gifts – cedar wood, carpenters and masons who built him a house (2 Chronicles 2.3) and Solomon became his son-in-law!

This policy must come from the Lord, lest it appear to be weakness and be scorned by those who are unaware of bonds of friendship. There are non-Christian people who are wise, and when they see that a ministry of God is forming, they feel the desire to invest in this work and they do it with joy. I have memories of many of them, who helped me to get where the Lord has determined – and I pray that He will bless them!

One of Saul’s sons still insisted on remaining king, because for him, his father’s natural successor was the one who should rule over Israel. Unfortunately, this idea also occurs in the divine work today – sometimes among family members who refuse to hand over the “kingdom” to another and sometimes by those who appoint a natural son, despising the spiritual sons, especially the one upon whom the anointing of God is seen. Pray!

When there is personal motivation, there is no direction from God. Josaphat erred in marrying his son to Athaliah, daughter of Ahab, who didn’t fear the Lord. Later, when his son was killed, the queen-mother killed almost all her grandchildren and took over the kingdom of Judah. One of them, Joash, was spared by his aunt, Ahaziah’s sister. At the age of seven, he was anointed king in Israel (2 Kings 11:1-4,12).

Going back to Hiram, he sent gifts to Solomon, saying that the Lord had given David a wise son of great prudence and understanding – a blessing David had asked for his son to receive. He further stated that the new king of Israel should build the house for the Lord and his kingdom. Why has God called you to participate in the Body of Christ? Surely, He has wonderful plans for your life.

So don’t let anything get in the way of what has been written about you, because the Lord has planned many things in your favor. Be a faithful witness of the Most High, and taste eternal happiness. He is faithful!

In Christ, with love,

Lord who sends us good people! Perhaps many have not seen how good You are for Your people, giving them pastors who love You and remain in holiness, without bringing curse upon themselves or the work You have entrusted to them. We love You!

Hiram sent wood and other materials, as well as carpenters, masons and good professionals, to build a house for David. This gesture was received by the new king as a confirmation from Thee to his ordination on the throne of Israel, giving him peace!

Send the signs that we are acting rightly in Your sight, showing that our ascension into the holy ministry of the Word and our preaching came from You. We don't want to be against any of Your plans!
