Who is this who comes from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah, this One who is glorious in His apparel, traveling in the greatness of His strength?— “ I who speak in righteousness, mighty to save.

Isaiah 63:1

One of the secrets to becoming a person of strong faith is to meditate on the revelations that the Word of God gives us. Once your faith is strengthened you will certainly live in a different way. What many people fail to do is to let themselves be enlightened by the Living Word. But when they do they are able to demand the fulfillment of everything that is recorded in the Scriptures concerning them. Those who do not know who they are in God have no idea of what belongs to them and what they can do in Jesus\’ name, and neither do they have the courage to face the problems of everyday life and achieve victory in their endeavors.

Isaiah spoke of the Lord in this way: “Who is this who comes from Edom, with dyed garments”. He comes appareled for a party, not in mourning clothes because they were stained red when He trampled the enemies just as one treads the winepress. The Lord\’s work had been completed; otherwise He would not have come from Edom but rather stayed there as long as necessary in order to exterminate the rest of them. However, the work was complete, so we cannot fail to celebrate His success and the accomplishment of His work in our favor.

At all times, we must be cheerful, happy and good-humored. After all, our Savior gave us a tremendous gift: He overcame our enemies. The proof is that His garments are stained, which for us is a reason for joy. It is time to celebrate, give thanks for what He did for us, but the best way to say thanks is to take possession of what is ours in Christ.

Mind you: the Lord comes marching in the fullness of His strength since He has lost none of His power. So why would you be discouraged and pessimistic? Never say you cannot do something or that you will not achieve anything. All children of God can do all things in the Lord for He strengthens them (Philippians 4:13). Therefore, do not give way to fear in your heart.

Note that the Lord is talking about justice, not of conviction. It is time for good news, not for crying. He has come to herald that the one who exerted dominion over mankind has completely lost the battle and now he is nothing but a loser. Therefore, those who were oppressed by his nefarious deeds can now consider themselves free and truly delivered from any oppression. That is the message that our God has for all who believe in Him. My brother, we are living the time of the operations of divine justice.

The Lord says He is mighty to save so we have grounds to feel victorious, don’t we? No matter what problem you are going through, be fearless and strong, come boldly to the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16) and believe that in Christ you are more than conquerors (Romans 8:37). Do not disappoint the One who is coming to announce the Good News. Believe in them!

In Christ with love,

R. R. Soares
