Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts.
Romans 6:12
It is sad to see that sin reigns in so many people – including many servants of the Lord! He who has not yet converted is dominated by transgressions because he is still in rebellion. However, it should never happen in the lives of those who were rescued from the enemy’s claws. The saved ones should assert their rights in the Son of God!
The enemy manifests his dominion in the life of the lost ones in many different ways: some are induced by him to have an evil heart; others are oppressed with diseases, lies, prostitution, addiction, etc. In fact, those who have not experienced the new birth live under a heavy yoke because the bondage of the enemy is very hard for he oppresses people with his array of nefarious deeds. Therefore, the best action we can take for the sake of mankind is to make everyone understand what Jesus did upon His death. The sublime responsibility to preach the Gospel is upon us because in so doing, those who suffer will be able to get free from the evil forces.
Once you have decided to belong to the Lord you are no longer in the devil\’s kingdom and, therefore, you should not allow sin to reign in your life – after all, no child of God should yield to temptation. So if at this moment, the enemy is attacking you, use your authority in Jesus\’ name and demand the devil and his temptations to leave you right now. Do not let the evil one dominate you (James 4:7b)!
Be a son or daughter who is pleasing to the heavenly Father. To this end, do not submit to any whim of the enemy. Jesus gave us His name so that in Him we can do the same Christ would do if He were in our place (Mark 16:17-18). He who truly fears the Almighty knows he has to wage a battle against principalities and powers, the rulers of the darkness and spiritual hosts of wickedness that act in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). Then, wage your battle now and become a winner!
Religion fills us with lies and fear; religion promotes the evil powers to a level they haven’t achieved and never will achieve. On the other hand, the Gospel teaches us the truth and leads us to take our authority in Christ. It is up to you, my brother, to not let sin reign in your mortal body. If the devil is allowed to do this, your unrestrained lusts will be the masters of your life.
How sad it is to see someone who serves God becoming slaves to sin! So if this has happened to you, just put a stop to this situation and become free forever from every evil attack! Confess your sin to the Lord and take a stand in the word, not allowing transgressions to dominate you. You have the right to live the freedom that the faith in Christ gives to those who take possession of it!
