But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea. Exodus14:16

Many things in God’s work can only be done by one called to such a mission, as was the case with Moses, the leader chosen by the Lord to lead His people to freedom. He had to lift the rod he always carried with him. What a privilege that servant received! Everything was ready, even the east-west wind awaited the moment when it would perform the ritual established by the Most High.

The man of God had calmed the hearts of the Israelites. That crowd stopped complaining when he said the Almighty would honor them that day, and the fearsome Egyptians would never be seen again. Thus, Moses approached the edge of the Red Sea. Look at the position a true servant must have before the Lord.

There, Moses was observed by Israelites, angels of God, and certainly demons. These wished he were still crying out for divine mercy. There is time for everything, even to cry out to God and obey His Id. Then he raised the rod. What would happen next would be irreversible: the waters would separate millimeter and form a passage between them.

The expectation continued because Moses would have to reach out the hand that had become leprous in a demonstration of the Lord’s power, and then was healed in a matter of minutes by placing it and taking it from his chest (Ex.4,6,7). The deliverer would not fail, for it was like a great orchestra waiting for the conductor to raise the baton and to turn it, following the sound of the musical notes. What if it came out of your head?

The devil must have tempted Moses all the time. He could not err; after all, the Hebrews considered him the envoy from above. With his hand over the sea, he split that pool of water, and a strong wind blew and increased his strength. The people felt the wind, but no one fell to the ground. The waters began to open, and two walls emerged. With tears of joy, they all walked the bottom of the sea. To God be the glory!

The heavens rejoiced! The departure of the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob was the greatest spectacle on earth: three million people walking across the bottom of the sea without breaking the walls. Oh How I wanted to be among them to see the one and only God honor His promise!

The Most High has declared that the glory of the last house will be greater than the glory of the first (Ag 2.9). We will see things being accomplished in our day that only the Lord could foresee and do. His love for God must overcome the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees (Matt. 5:20), so that He will fulfill what He has promised before their eyes. We will do greater works if we believe in Him (John 14:12).

In Christ, with love,

Lord! We tremble with a little meditation on the passage of Your people through the Red Sea. What you have prepared for us today will thrill us and we will exclaim, "Only You are God!"

Teach us to partake of Thy glory, to unveil Thy will. You are more than men can speak of You, and you have reserved tremendous things for us. Your power is unquestionable. Dress us with happy deeds!

There are no words to express how we feel before your works. We call upon Your Name to demand the evil out of our lives. We are free by the Name of Jesus. Thank You Father!
