Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them, and it shall be an everlasting covenant with them; I will establish them and multiply them, and I will set My sanctuary in their midst forevermore.

Ezekiel 37:26

With the sin committed by Adam man became alone and helpless. But God, who is merciful, made a covenant with us in the blood of Jesus in which there are divine promises and also some obligations for us to meet. If we pay heed to what the Most High tells us and if we fulfil His will, He promises to rid us of all diseases – the evils that attack our bodies, our souls and our spirits. However, that covenant does not only refer to the problems of our earthly life, but it is also about the removal of sin which, if not done, will cause us to suffer throughout eternity in the lake of fire.
That covenant is an agreement of solutions. When we do our duty – which is about abiding by the divine commandments – the Lord commits Himself to be our God. He will fight in our favor and He will destroy all the attacks of our enemy. As a result we will feel peace inside which means that we will not only have quietness of soul, but also a healthy body and spiritual accomplishment. In the new Covenant, ratified in the blood of Jesus, the barrier that separated us from God was pulled down. Now we have free access to the throne of Grace and nothing can separate us from our Father.
The New Covenant is everlasting. With it our salvation begins at this very moment and will never be interrupted. In fact, we will always be close to our Father and away from the suffering prepared for all those who do not accept such wonderful blessing which was provided for everybody. It will be a great privilege for us to fulfil the divine will here in this life.
The great news derived from the verse we are studying is that we were established in the eternal covenant of God, which solved men’s problems once and for all. Now there is no more condemnation for us; we are, in all senses, more than conquerors (Romans 8:37). Even if hell insists
on oppressing us, we will never be oppressed because we were transported from the kingdom of darkness straight into the wonderful Kingdom of Light (Colossians 1:13).
Pay attention to the following promise: God assures us that He will multiply us. Therefore do not be selfish, after all it would not be good to enter the Heavens without those people you should have conquered for Christ. The Word of the Lord declares that “those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament, and those who turn many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever.” (Daniel 12:3) Therefore, strive not to go alone to the Heavens. The more people you take to salvation the better your situation for all eternity will be.
God assures us that His sanctuary is in our midst. So, we do not have to go anywhere in this world to find Him. Our rights in the New Covenant assure us that there are no limits for those who serve God with all their heart.
My brethren, you have hit the jackpot! So, do not let the devil rob you of your happiness with which you were rewarded when you accepted Jesus as your Savior.
In Christ, with love,
R. R. Soares
