And will receive the wages of unrighteousness, as those who count it pleasure to carouse in the daytime. They are spots and blemishes, carousing in their own deceptions while they feast with you.

II Peter 2: 13

In the passage mentioned above the apostle Peter goes through those who insist on living their lives in sin. Well, in all generations, the devil has been able to deceive many people by inducing them to shut their hearts to The Truth and to indulge in error. Such people find it hard to see how short life is as they think their journey here will be quite long and that, as they die, all their troubles will have an end. Yet, they soon become preys of the devourer.

Being rough sort of people, they do not ponder on their vile way of living. Their words are nothing but poison regarding matters absolutely unfamiliar to them and, precisely for that reason, they will be destroyed since The righteous and faithful God will make sure they will not escape the eternal punishment. Even though, they keep on walking fast towards the pit where they will be tormented day and night – and they do not admit to the biblical reality – and on account of their immoral and nefarious way of living they will, by all means, be disqualified for the perennial happiness.

The sacred text reveals to us that those who get corrupted will receive, on The Final Reckoning Day, the wages of unrighteousness on account of their evil practices of today. On top of that, they don’t realize that mankind has the opportunity not to carry on living in the darkness, but under the Light of The Lord instead, which began to shine since the death and the rise of Jesus. So, with pleasure, they give themselves to lust instead of living a righteous, sin-free life and, among their mystifications they indulge in their sinful deeds instead of enjoying the grace of God which has been poured out upon us, the real children of God.

Those who are, openly or not, against the divine idea of being reborn regrettably find themselves in a quite critical overall condition. Their eyes are full of adultery, a sin that cannot stop from crossing their minds. Their practices deceive those who are not standing firm in faith, and their hearts are drilled in grudge as though they were cursed children. In doing so, they don’t even bother keeping on living their lives in such wrong way.

Such people can be compared to Balaam, the prophet who sold himself and, on account of his bribery, he happened to teach the daughters of The Moabites to lure the children of Israel. Yet, he did not get away with it and nor will his followers either. God shall judge all those who are driven away towards evil.

Never forsaking the Righteous Way is the secret and also wrestling by the faith which has been granted to the saints. Nevertheless, those who love the outcome of unrighteousness will see it be transformed into a magnet which will draw them even more towards the immortal flames through all eternity. The best choice to go for is to make amend with God and to submit yourself to The Words of His Holy Book. Those who follow suit will certainly rule forever along with Christ.

Therefore, you must run away from the reward of unrighteousness. Do not give in to filthy pleasures and get rid of all spots and blemishes which could get stuck to the soul of those who engage in error. Do not indulge in deceptive words; thus, your soul will not hold the eternal label of sin.
