“Mark the blameless man, and observe the upright; for the future of that man is peace.” (Psalm 37:37)

Blamelessness must prevail in the lives of all those who wish to live well. Those who deceive, pretend, do wrong deeds can hardly see that others are observing the kind of people they truly are. In fact, when we’re speaking to a deceiver we can’t see their eyes shining, there’s something weird in them that rings the bell and we don’t believe in them; they can’t hide it. That happens because those who deceive others don’t have God with them. Still, some let themselves be carried away by those types of spirits and can’t see why they never prosper, they have no peace and they live a very troubled life.

Yet, a blameless man must be observed; after all, the way he looks, speaks and avoids sin conveys peace to those around him. He’d rather lose something and he won’t show any bad feelings even when, for instance, he knows he’s being robbed or betrayed. It doesn’t mean he’s a looser; actually he’s someone who walks with the Lord, and that’s why he’s rewarded in in every way. A man of God will say “I don’t know” if he’s asked a question to which he really doesn’t know the answer; he doesn’t deceive anyone, he’ll say “I don’t have it” if that’s really the case. Besides, he never promises anything he can’t keep. He brings along with him peace and also the love of the Lord.

Those who want to be successful in life must watch their behavior attentively, they must know that sincerity is important and they must also observe the upright. There are many crooked ways in life, some of them even look enchanting, but they have nothing to do with the children of God. Yet, my brethren, those who observe what is upright – the very revelation of the Word of God – will never be deceived by the devil and his demons, they’ll never be caught up in any evil trap and they’ll always be guided by prudence and divine wisdom.

The Word states that the future of a blameless man will be of peace and so will be the future of those who observe him and consider the upright. So, learn from the way the servants of God behaved in the biblical times, their honest attitudes, and do the same. It’s really a wonderful way to learn from those who let themselves be used by the Lord in the past and to allow to be used by Him. So, we don’t need to devise any plans in order to obey the commandments of our Father, all we have to do is do as we’re told by Him. As you’re working on His plans, my brother, don’t create anything, don’t add to or take away from what has been revealed to you, just carry on doing it and follow God’s ordinances fully. Pray to the Lord and ask Him for help if you feel your strength won’t make it.

We can never believe in the saying which goes like this: “The end justify its means” because everything must be done exactly according to what we’re told by the Lord. So, those things condemned by Him mustn’t be part of our lives, but only those that the Most High put at our disposal in order for His mission to be accomplished. When you fail to observe what’s upright you’re giving the enemy a place by your side. You don’t want that for your life, for he’s harmful and, if you allow him, he’ll make you lose the battle!

In Christ, with love,
