Oh, that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men!

Psalm 107:31

This verse is repeated four times in Psalm 107. It means that wherever we are we should give thanks to the Lord because His goodness works wonders in our lives. No matter who stands against us, the Word ensures that the goodness of God brings great blessings. So seek refuge in the Most High and you will find the divine miracle.

Those who were enlightened by the Gospel and therefore have put their trust in the Almighty can declare that they will not be forsaken, which is exactly what David did when he stated in Psalm 23 that the goodness of the Lord would follow him all the days of his life. Therefore, there’s no reason for a child of God to believe in the enemy and lead a life of oppression.

The prayer that is pleasing to the Father is the one in which you ask Him to remember you according to His inherent mercy, without remembering the sins of your youth, nor your transgressions (Psalm 25:7). In so doing, you will have tremendous and undaunted confidence in the Almighty. That is what many children of God lack because in moments of decision or in battles, instead of being strong they don’t stand firm in faith.

The lovingkindness reserved for us is so great that it cannot be fathomed. It was intended to those who respect the Word and seek refuge in the Lord, but it is revealed in the presence of all men – both the godly and those who resist the divine ordination. Therefore, whoever does not call for it misses a lot, and those who don’t take advantage of it have a great loss.

The ungodly should never boast about it in that the “profit” they obtain is way smaller than the boons they would get if only they did good and enjoyed the kindness of the Most High. As a matter of fact, the satisfaction and pleasure derived from wickedness are not only short-lived but also bitter and shameful, and besides those who enjoy them are eventually forsaken.

The favors attained by those who enjoy the divine kindness will never end. Moreover, to enjoy the goodness of the Lord, all you have to do is choose Him and draw near to Him, always remaining in His presence. Once in God’s house, it is impossible not to be filled with pleasure with the Father’s character which is one of the divine attributes that leads the true believers to the position in which the Most High wants to see them.

Therefore, believe that the Lord always hears your voice according to His goodness and you won’t need to be desperate to improve the manner in which you behave; just follow God’s directions that are provided through His Word. Whoever believes in Jesus obtains His lovingkindness and will consequently be sanctified and vivified.

In Christ with love,
