Even if Solomon had not heard from God the command not to worship other gods, his spirit must have sensed something evil in that. If he had sought the Lord’s guidance, he would have been instructed in this situation. However, this king was led astray by the devil’s lie and erred. He who gives himself to iniquity will find that women who serve the devil and accept sin will lead him to the enemy, as if this were a reward for the “good” the devil has done to them.
Be careful to fulfill the Lord’s determinations; after all, they become decrees to be obeyed. No matter how bad you may consider a revelation from God, it is a proof of His love for you. If He forbade you to do something, it was for your good. Be grateful to the Most High for the revelations, for there is much wisdom in them. In order not to fall into the devil’s hands, the Lord instructs us how to act!
God’s precepts have various roles in the lives of those who follow them, from high-value lessons to blessings received. This subject is so serious that Jesus said that having and keeping the commandments are attitudes that prove our love for the Lord and give Him the opportunity to love us too (John 14:21). So be thankful when you receive a word from Him and carry it out. Believe: this act of love will cover a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:8).
To worship strange gods is to make a complete mistake. They are nothing but dangerous demons. There is no goodness or mercy in them. The evil one wants you to do whatever he tells you to do, by consenting to have him operate in your life, or do “something good” for him. You see, with your permission, he will begin the destruction. As for doing you good, that will never happen. Anyone who gives credit to the enemy because he has acquired possessions is being deceived by him.
Saul gave reasons to disappoint the Lord when he heard from God that he had to go against the Amalekites for what they had done to Israel at the beginning of the journey toward the Promised Land, Now, the king of the Amalekites had attacked the Israelites from behind, wounding some of them. God said that He would payback for the harm done to His people. So, the day came, and Saul was the chosen one, but he didn’t act right, for he spared the enemy king and the good animals. Saul lost his kingdom for this reason (read chapter 15 of 1st Samuel).
That act of Saul moved the Lord to choose young David as the future king of Israel. Don’t fail to fulfill the mission you were given: of helping God’s work by fulfilling His Go. Even if your calling is to intercede for the lost, do it with a good heart and joyfully; in due time, your reward will come. The Father watches over His Word to fulfill it (Jeremiah 1:12). Whoever obeys pleases Heaven!
Keep the revelations of the Word, because they have been sent to benefit you: For they are life to those who find them and health to all their flesh (Proverbs 4:22). Your reward will be like this: His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord (Matthew 25:21).
In Christ, with love,

God of love! How many times You have spoken to us, but we have not acted as You expected! So, before You, we confess our mistakes and ask for forgiveness! There is nothing better than to be joyful in Your presence. Thank You for creating and loving us!
Don't let us go astray on other paths; the only way we can walk is Your Way. In You, there is steadfast security! Walking by Your side is the secret to being successful. We expect Your favor at all times. So deliver us from straying and falling!
We plead on behalf of those who do not yet obey You, that they may be enlightened by Your Holy Spirit and discover that Your Word is enough for them to get everything right. We are grateful that You hold our hands!
