―As I urged you when I went into Macedonia—remain in Ephesus that you may charge some that they teach no other doctrine, 4 nor give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which cause disputes rather than godly edification which is in faith.‖ (1 Timothy 1: 3, 4)
Paul feared that the enemy’s ambassadors could get into the church. Well, we mustn’t be naïf when it comes to spiritual matters; the ambassadors described by the Apostle Paul were teaching a quite different doctrine to the people of God and making up freaky stories. Human wisdom doesn’t go hand in hand with spiritual matters; the edification of the children of the Most High comes by faith.
The Bible points out to the fact that though the Lord and His servants only planted wheat, tares will also grow there in the wheat field during the growth of what was sowed (Matthew 13: 24 – 30). The enemy has succeeded to introduce his agents among the people of God. They’ve managed to lure many people into giving up their faith, and they’ll undoubtedly pay a high price for doing so. There’s only one doctrine we’re to teach at church: the biblical one which is ministered directly to us by the Holy Spirit as we read the Scriptures or listen to the preaching of the Word.
Not all those who spread out weird teachings are devil’s agents, some do so because they are naive– yet, they are still to blame so they’ll take responsibility for causing conflict in the minds of the Lord’s genuine servants. It’s hard to comprehend how daring they are in error. It’s as though they don’t believe that the intentions of their hearts will be unveiled one day.
Why do they make up teachings that go against the Gospel and spread them out? Aren’t they aware of the warning which says that nobody is allowed to edify another basis? Don’t they understand that they’re causing conflict to the work of God? Jesus stated that those who, whatever the reason, lead one of His little children to go adrift would better have tied up a heavy load round their neck and thrown themselves into the sea (Matthew 18: 6). Poor of those who
drive one sole person away from the way of God! There are so many freaks who don’t even ponder on what will happen to them.
Those doctrines usually come up after ―special miracles‖ being announced; yet, none of them will be confirmed if gone through to the light of Truth. Those experts in error make many people believe in them. Yet, all they say is just a weird product of their minds; therefore, it’s nothing but lies. Some mention stories of people who suffered a lot and became martyrs and that they met up God many times or were visited by angels. The words they say are barely true and have no positive spiritually speaking.
The people of God are edified by the faith they’re granted as they listen to the Word of God (Romans 10: 17). The divine work can’t be done without faith. When the church fails to preach the Word and begins using the persuasive communication techniques of vain philosophies or the human approach from marketing principles, all that will be left will be a ―sea full of nonsense‖, Christians without the authority of our Father and the very work of our opponent. The church is built up through the faith our Lord tells us about!
In Christ, with love,
