Abijah king of Judah, successor of Rehoboam on the throne, was fearless in his faith. His name means: Jehovah is my Father. He witnessed his father’s lack of experience and, as he took over the kingdom, knew how to proceed. He soon began to prepare for war, knowing that his great-grandfather’s God, David, would not leave him alone, but would use him as the beloved king of Israel used. The Lord has honored Abijah.
He did not look at twice as many men as Jeroboam’s army, who lived disturbing his father’s kingdom, and ordered the battle against him. When faith in God directs us, we will do similar things as well. Whenever we respond to faith, we will see the Almighty coming into battle and giving us victory. The Lord only needs people who believe in Him to work for truth and justice.
The child of God must be fearless, and that means no fear. If he has heard from the Most High what he must do and prepare in prayer and reading the Scriptures, he will never be defeated in the fighting. Let the Holy Spirit guide you through the Word, assuming what you feel comes from your heavenly Father. Then you will have the protection and help from Above. God is faithful to keep His promises!
Never mind the evil caused by the kingdom of darkness to you. In the Name of Jesus, it will be destroyed. Our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the forces of evil that want to defeat and shame us (Ephesians 6:12). But in order for God to help us, we must live in communion with Him, refusing temptations, even small ones, because they prevent us from receiving His help.
Abijah knew that, humanly speaking, you couldn’t fight an army with twice as many soldiers. However, trusting in God, he went to war, certain that he would return with victory. Whoever trusts in the Lord and fights according to the directions of Scripture will be helped to the smallest detail.
Abijah showed his faith by opening his heart and warning his enemies to surrender (2 Chronicles 13:12). But Jeroboam the king of Samaria went against Abijah, but had not the Lord, and therefore lost. Only the one who has the Most High by his side wins and militates according to biblical rule. After all, God honors those who honor Him (1 Sam 2:30). Therefore, if you are judged for something that you are accused of, while simple, obey only the Word, not what man thinks is the best, and always speak the truth.
After warning Jeroboam and his soldiers, Abijah was taken aback by the king of the North, who, in addition to plotting an evil plan against him, must have laughed at that sermon and been confident that he had a larger army. However, Abijah and his people cried out to God, who helped them and gave them victory. Hallelujah!
In Christ, with love,

Supreme Commander! Being well with You and doing what you say, the bad man will not beat us. Therefore we will never fear the enemy at all, because Your honor and glory will remain immaculate. The enemy does not surprise those who have faith!
While Your servant obeyed You, the adversary worked cunningly in His futile plan, but Thou didest also work, placing an angel beside each soldier of Jeroboam, that they might do nothing against Thy people, and so it did. Thanks!
In the same way, always make us stand before you with submission, giving you the direction of our life and capacity. When war breaks out, Your prophet will prove to be the most important, and we will come back winners. You are the victor!
