And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in fear;

I Peter 1:17

One of the privileges we have when are born again is that we can call on our Father, our God. This means more than mere words; it means that we have supremacy over all the devil\’s attempts to make us suffer. When we open our mouth and call on the Heavenly Father, we put the divine authority into action.

The apostle Paul said that if we are children of the Lord, we are His heirs (Romans 8:17). Therefore by being entitled to inherit all the divine promises and being co-heirs with Jesus there will be no negative responses to our requests. Everything we learn from the Scriptures belongs to us; if we ordain in the Name of Jesus, we will be answered by the Father who loves us.

There is no partiality with God (Romans 2:11). No matter who you might have been in the past, He loves you with all His heart and if you believe in the Almighty and serve Him with all your might, He will fulfill everything He promised. To God, our human nature does not matter; what counts is whether we have Him as our Father – and He is Father only to those who are His children. When we become children of the Almighty, then He becomes our Father and the works He does in our lives are dependant upon our belief in His Word. But those who do not receive Jesus as their Savior will never receive the right to become sons and daughters of God (John 1:12). The Almighty judges according to each one\’s work! He does not look at our outer appearance in order to attend to our petition. Instead, He hears our cry based on what we do concerning the things He reveals to us in His Word.

Ponder on this: what you do with God’s touch is what counts. Therefore, those who despise His Word will perish. If, on the other hand, one believes in the Almighty and ordains the victory, the divine power will get into action and confirm what has been promised. If we then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to our children, how much more will our heavenly Father give to those who ask (Luke 11:13)! The Most High always bestows His blessings on those who fit into His wonderful plan of salvation.

Peter said we must walk in fear. That does not mean that we should be terrorized, but rather that we must respect the Word of God. Those who sin will undoubtedly see that the works of the devil keep them from being blessed by God. So do only what the Bible commands and you will never be disappointed. Doing God’s will is the noblest thing we can do throughout our earthly journey.

Our sojourn here on earth is very short, but with death we shall not cease to exist for although our journey starts here it will last for eternity. Those who do not mind their actions will find out, belatedly, that they will suffer in darkness throughout eternity.

In Christ with love,

R. R. Soares
