Oh, if only the king of Judah had believed what the Lord was saying through the prophet Jeremiah! He could have defeated the entire army of Nebuchadnezzar, as Hezekiah defeated Sennacherib, the Assyrian king, more than one hundred years before. Oh! If you had consecrated yourself more to God, seeking the face of the Most High in times of peace and tranquility, you would not have entered the tribulation that almost took out your life. The Creator will help the one who humbles himself before Him and accepts His guidance and promises (Luke 14:11; James 4:10; 1 Peter 5:6). Pray!
Everything would happen to us, according to the Word of the heavenly covenant, if we simply heard the Gospel and believed in it. There is only one way to serve God: truly! The Biblical promises were given to the prophets because they believed them. We are the happiest people on Earth, yet we live as if we were the most miserable. We must truly believe in the Truth (John 17:17)!
Everyone should examine the Scriptures, for they would discover important statements in it for those who seek to know divine goodness. Those who are interested in knowing what the Bible says about them and about matters in general will have a pleasant surprise. This is because, in the Holy Book, it is recorded that every inheritance belongs to the saved (1 Peter 1:3). In the revelation of the Word lies your happiness.
The covenant made with God’s people should have been claimed by those people when they first had contact with the Almighty. Everything was put into God’s contract with man, recorded in a simple way for those interested in knowing what they would own when they entered the Kingdom of Heaven. When you understand that something belongs to you, claim it and you will rejoice in the Lord!
On the day Israel came out of Egypt, only joy could be seen on the faces of that multitude. However, the Lord’s joy was greater and immeasurable! Surely, the Heavenly Father’s eyes brimmed with tears of happiness as He saw the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob walking toward freedom. The same thing happened when He saw you choosing to be redeemed (Luke 15.10). You must cherish your salvation!
The damage to the Israelites, when they turned to sin, was enormous. Not only did they go into captivity, but they also lost the Spirit of God who dwelt among them. Whoever is converted becomes special to the Savior, but if the Christian does not discover his rights in Christ and claim them, the enemy will continue to oppress him: If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed (John 8:36). Do you believe?
The verse ends by exhorting us to fear nothing. Fear produces in us the opposite of faith. Remember: faith gives us strength to reach the Father, but fear opens the door for the evil one to cause destruction. For this reason, Jesus said to Jairus, the father of the girl who had died: Do not be afraid; only believe (Mark 5:36b). If he had feared, the girl would not have been resurrected!
In Christ, with love,

Lord of the everlasting Covenant! Thank You for the Covenant You have made with us. All the time we are in the world, we will have Your presence. Thus, the devil won't be able to touch us. You are faithful!
When we came out of the empire of darkness, Your Spirit came to dwell among us. Then, when we were saved, having been born again, He came to live within us. We are Your people, and so a thousand will fall at our side and ten thousand at our right hand, but we will not be struck!
We are in the season of reaping what others have sown. The prophets sowed the seeds of faith, which sprout to this day in each born-again person. However, if we fear, evil will visit us! We want to be intrepid, not afraid of anything.
