From this man’s seed, according to the promise, God raised up for Israel a Savior—Jesus.

Acts 13:23

The promises God makes to us have a huge importance for our lives in that they reveal what He wants to do for us and through us. Those who do not give them a due place in their life cannot enjoy the best from the Lord because they do not know that as a Father He only has good plans for His children. Contempt towards His promises gladdens the enemy because it keeps us from being assisted by the Most High at every step we take.

One thing is certain: God is faithful at fulfilling His promises (Hebrews 10:23). None of the divine promises are made at random; on the contrary, they are given with precision in all points. Once we have been informed that we have a right to something, we can consider that as ours with the assurance that even if Heavens and Earth pass away, the Lord’s words will by no means never pass away (Matthew 24:35).

A promise is like a note payable signed by the payer who makes an unconditional promise to pay a sum of money to the payee. Well, man may go bankrupt, he may deny his debt or he may even die but that would never happen to our God who has all the power in Heaven and on Earth (Matthew 28:18). The honor and the character of the Most High would be at stake if He repented or if He did not keep His promises. However, for His own glory He is faithful and He will never change what comes out from His lips (Numbers 23:19).

My brethren, read the Scriptures and find out several biblical passages that speak of the wonders that our Creator wants to perform in the lives of those who follow Him. They were made by The One who does not tell lies. The Lord will never need to apologize for having exaggerated when He spoke about you. He does not make mistakes and it was not by accident that He chose you – it was His will being put into action in your life.

What sparked your interest in God’s issues was mere not chance but the result of the Lord’s work. He architected a plan and He put it into practice. It was out of His loving mercy that the Almighty One brought you to the position at which point you found out that you were the object of His love.

Do not be deceived! You are part of the divine plan and your name is written in the Heavens; therefore, God will do what is necessary to confirm your election. He already knows what you will need when you decide to obey Him. So, be brave and face all the obstacles with the guidance you can get from the Blessed Word. In so doing you will become a winner.

Failing to take your stand, to cry out for the fulfilment of the promises made to you and to act in the Name of Jesus as a divine warrior is equivalent to surrendering to the enemy and akin to saying that the devil is right and the Lord is wrong. Good gracious! At this very moment God is looking at your heart and considering your decision.
