And Judah was defeated by Israel, and every man fled to his tent. 2 Kings 14.12

We have always heard of christians who were unsuccessful in business, were ill, whose children have fallen into sin, and many others negative news. This should not exist; negligence, however, is enough to take the people of God to defeat. For being part of the Body of Christ we can’t let anything that doesn’t come from the Most High controls us. Those who are careless in the fulfillment of the duty will be certainly defeated.

Amaziah, king of Judah, had beaten the edomites. Then, he provoked the king of Israel without consulting the Lord. The Israelite king alerted to the madness he was about to cause. However, Amaziah didn’t want to hear and, at the end of the battle, realized he had been defeated. Joash, king of Israel, arrested him in Beth Shemesh, went to Jerusalem, overthrew part of the wall, took the gold and the silver from the house of the Most High and the treasure of Amaziah, took the hostages as well.

Why didn’t he count on the help of the Almighty, if he feared God? At the beginning of the chapter mentioned, it is written that what he did was right in the eyes of God, according to his father, and not according to David. Today, we have to do everything right in the eyes of the heavenly Father, according to the Lord Jesus. This small negligence made him to be reproved since the high places were not taken away, and so that people sacrificed and burned incense to the demons.

Those who approve laws which cover sins practiced by the wicked, yet they judge to be simple matter, will be defeated in their battles. Those who don’t pray or do nothing for these things not to be authorized by the law as something ordinary is joining the destroyer and, because of that, when they need divine help they won’t be able to count on it.

It was given to us the power to bound and to loose (Mt 18.18). The one who doesn’t stay steady on what the Lord conveys through the Word will do no good. If Amaziah had mirrored David, he would have set his land free from those places where the demons were worshiped. The people of God need to leave to think only about themselves and need to begin to serve God in prayer, using His power, to have times of peace and security.

We must be witnesses of the Lord with our words and also with our procedure. If someone has something against us, we can’t be quiet and let time erase it. Well, a transgression will never be undone if it won’t be for a decree of the Lord. There isn’t a prescript for the sin.

Christ oriented us to search the person against whom we went wrong and reconcile with her for us to be forgiven (Mt 5.23-26). Therefore, don’t let the devil mislead you, since the proverb says “No rest for the wicked”. Search and serve God, according to the Lord Jesus did and taught.

In Christ, with love,

God Almighty! How sad is to hear that some of Your sons have had financial losses in business, have been sick or have fallen into sin. This should never have happened with those who serve You and make Your saint and precious will.

If the people of Judah had given attention to Your advices nor had been mislead by the enemy, they wouldn’t have been hurt before the enemy. Today, the same has happened with many of Your servants and many are hurt.

We don’t have to run away to our houses, but we have to go back home happy. The victory You will give to Your people will lead others to honor You. With it, I know it will never be said that one of Your sons lost a battle.
