04/05/2012 - Allow The Lord to work on your behalf

For since the beginning of the world Men have not heard nor perceived by the ear, nor has the eye seen any God besides You, Who acts for the one who waits for Him.

Isaiah 64:4

There is but One True God. The other gods worshiped in a variety of religions out there are either made up by men or evil spirits that pose as such. We ought to not be offensive towards anybody whose faith is distinct from ours, whatever it might be, because many people put all their trust in their beliefs and, on top of that, if we do so we might be turning them defensive and then they will end up refusing the message of The Gospel which, sooner or later, will surely have been conveyed to them.

In all religions men are instructed to please their divinity either through offerings, rites or sacrifices, but none of them give their members promises of salvation or eradication of sin. Only in the Gospel, the righteousness of God is revealed to all those who pay heed to IT – no matter how sinful they have been because, as IT turns to somebody to get ITS message across, everything necessary is already prepared by The Lord to grant them salvation.

It is good to serve The True God, The Creator of Heavens and earth considering that He does not demand anything from men apart from their willingness to put their trust in Him. It is so easy to be blessed; yet curiously many people happen to dither here, and then they sadly end up going for other ways instead. The Truth is that only Jesus can take us to our Father (John 14: 6). And it is precisely for that reason that we must trust in Him, nobody else.

Our God is also The Only One who works on behalf of those that hope for Him. In the other religions it is mandatory for people to do something to please their “gods”. Yet, The True God does not ask anything from men except for them to trust in Him and hope for His promises to come true. Regardless of the situation someone might be facing now, as they put their faith in The Lord, He instantly begins operating on their behalf.

Hoping for the divine promises to be fulfilled is all we need to please our Father. It is useless to try to achieve the divine favour by offering Him something in exchange; after all, The Lord can neither be bribed nor can He accept any payment for what He does for us. Even the praises we sing have to come from Him! So, as we are instructed by Him to praise His Name, The Most High shows us a way to keep in touch with Him.

God is pleased by those who decide to go for their rights in Christ. By doing so, they begin enjoying all those things The Almighty declares are the ownership of His children, all those who are accepted in His family. There is something else I deem to be utterly significant here: There is no partiality with God (Romans 2: 11). Therefore, all those who pay heed to the message of The Gospel and accept it have an open door which leads to our Father’s realm.

Those who receive Jesus as the Lord and Saviour of their lives begin being entitled to take possession of all the blessings that Christ conquered for mankind when He died on the Calvary cross. Therefore, whoever you might be, do assume right now your stand in Christ and do become one true member of God’s family!
