Let them praise the Name of the LORD, for His Name alone is exalted; His glory is above the earth and heaven.

Psalm 148: 13

Why must we praise The Name of The Lord? For numerous reasons. One of them is that when we do so our spirit opens up and, thus, our God and Father can bless us. We also praise Him for what He is – God, The Almighty, though being Magnificent, looked at us in order to turn us into His people. Suppose the president of this country has done you a favour, would you not be thankful to him? Let alone to The One who has done great things for all of us!

That Name is exalted above all evil power. That means that the devil beats retreat when he is told to by the authority of The Name of Jesus. Giving That Name ITS true praise is more than just speaking out nice words, but it is about using IT against the powers of darkness and overcome them. As we do so there is not the slightest possibility for The Name of The Lord to fail; with Jesus we rebuke the devilish assaults that rise against us.

There is no sickness, pain, adversity or any hellish powers that do not bow down before the majesty of The Name which is above all names. God covered That Name up with power in such a way that, when a Christian -however insignificant they might be deemed by men – rebukes the enemy he cannot cope with it and leaves at once. You must understand that your authority is in The Name of The Lord.

Those men of God from the biblical days never failed when they used The Name of The Lord. They found out the power which is in that Name, and as they were challenged by the hellish powers they stood firm and were victorious in the end. The same happened to David as he faced Goliath and to all those who really served The Most High. And the same will happen to you if you are fearless in facing hindrances.

Everybody is entitled to use The Name of our Saviour. Those who use IT find out that the same power that covered up the heroes of faith will also cover them up now, so they will be ambassadors for The Eternal God. Those who, with faith, use The Name of The Lord of Heavens and Earth discover that, through Christ, they can do all things (Philippians 4:13). That is the way we give God His due praise.

The glory of The Name of Jesus operates both on the earth and in The Heavens, and God gave Christians the capacity to act in His Name. Therefore, do not be shy nor fearful, neither be a coward, but fearless as you assume your stand in Christ. Go on the offensive once all the power of God is available to you in The Name of Jesus.

There is not the slightest possibility for the enemy to resist the command given by a child of God in The Name of The Lord because it is as though God Himself was giving that command. He granted us powers of attorney to act in His Name. Nevertheless, we cannot behave badly nor make agreements which we were not entitled to make. We have to act in line with the faith that comes into our hearts to pay heed to what our Father speaks to us in His Word.
