My beloved spoke, and said to me: “Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away.”

Song of Solomon 2.10

The best thing that has ever happened to me was to hear the gospel for the first time. In the blink of an eye, my life changed forever; now I am a child of God and, in the spirit of Song of Solomon, I am the fair one, the bride of Revelations and one of those who have been redeemed by the Lord. I am looking forward to being with my Savior forever, to enter into the kingdom of love.

My beloved Lord speaks to me. He guides my steps and protects me from the clever schemes of Satan, leading me to victory. It is so good to be loved like that by my God that I cannot even think about straying from his path! For him, I would give up anything; after all, he is the only one I care about. I am with him forever. I will probably feel overwhelmed when Jesus invites me to enter the kingdom of his Father.

I get emotional whenever I hear the voice of the Lord. What he says lifts me up and is a breath of fresh air. He is the one who made me give up being a doctor, going to medical school in Moscow. God called me to preach his Word, he made me his collaborator, a minister of the gospel, and he delivered me from the law of sin and death. The Lord always speaks to me about his purposes in each decision I need to make.

God wants me to stand up. He commands me to stand up and not to bow before my troubles. He does not want me to resign myself to any sort of sin, nor to allow myself to be fooled by the devil. The Lord takes care of me through his Holy Spirit and, with him, I will never stumble; for him, I will remain standing up and remove any chains that try to hold me back. My Lord is amazing. He is really, really awesome!

He calls me friend, pal, someone who trusts in him and in whom he can trust. I will not cheat on my beloved Lord; I will not please the devil. Even if I had to spend my entire life dragging myself over pieces of glass, I would never deny my beloved Lord, I would never cheat on him, nor make him sad. He is my only true Friend. Our marriage is eternal. He and I are inseparable.

The Lord invites me to run towards him, and that is why I am in a hurry – I long to meet him! I cannot (nor will I) miss this wonderful encounter. Wonderful indeed! I will meet my King, my Lord and God, and be with him forever. I will live in the world of happiness, where there is no pain, temptation or suffering. I will do everything not to miss this beautiful encounter.

What about you, dear reader? Wouldn’t you like to meet the Lord in the beauty of his holiness? Wouldn’t you like to have a living and powerful faith in him who is all-powerful and has the solution for all problems? Accept him today. He is knocking at your heart’s door (Revelations 3.20). If you receive him as your Lord and Savior, you will not regret it.
