14/03/2022 - ANOTHER WOULD BUILD THE TEMPLE

Then King David rose to his feet and said, “Hear me, my brethren and my people: I had it in my heart to build a house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and for the footstool of our God, and had made preparations to build it. 1 Chronicles 28:2

The Israelites loved David, so they went to hear him, certain that it was something important. After all, knowing him, they knew that otherwise he would never have summoned the nation. It is good to be respected by all the people in society, because you will be heard when you explain the decisions that the Lord has determined. God honors those who honor Him!

When the king began to speak, there was probably total silence, because his message should be engraved in each one´s mind – word for word. Now, everyone should do this in church, during service, because from the first moment of the meeting of faith and manifestations of the Holy Spirit, the words spoken must come from the Most High (Ecclesiastes 5:1-3). Don’t let anything disturb the preaching, nor allow yourself to have a single hidden sin!

David called them his brothers and his people, and this impelled them to respect and love him – wholeheartedly. He who always treated them well would not let them down; his leadership was unquestionable. There is no way the devil can hinder the Lord’s work, if the people at its head are led by the Holy Spirit. Those called to do the divine will must always be at the Savior´s feet.

The king explained about his plans to build a temple dedicated to the Lord, calling it a resting place for the Ark of the Covenant. Everyone knew how much David valued that ark and therefore desired to build a temple in praise and honor to the Most High. Whoever knows the divine plan for mankind, strives with the objective of helping to carry the Word throughout the Earth and save the lost.

The temple would be for our God’s footstool, where He would be present in order to help the afflicted, judge causes, and trample on the devil and his fallen angels – who always cause various evils. Now, everything that comes from the kingdom of darkness comes to rob, kill and destroy us. On the other hand, the Lord’s gifts give us life, and life in abundance (John 10:10). The Word is Jesus himself (John 1:1-14)!

Jesus’ Church has guaranteed the Lord´s presence 24 hours a day. If the devil comes like a flood, the Spirit of God will soon engage in battle against evil, as the Bible declares: So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, And His glory from the rising of the sun; when the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him. (Isaiah 59:19). Watch and pray!

David was not disappointed by the Lord’s decision; the king only mentioned that he had already organized everything for the construction and with a good heart, he handed over the resources for it.
