Uphold my steps in Your paths, that my footsteps may not slip. Psalm 17.5

Being guided by the Perfect One means that our attitudes will also be perfect, for the responsibility will belong to the Lord. The request of the psalmist serves as an answer for us. If we have in our minds that our decisions will be guided by God, we will watch in order to do nothing outside of His guidance and His Word. Then, our risk of failure will be zero.

The paths of the Most High are in His Word and are perfect. There is no operation of the enemy in them. Walking in them is like always having a green light shining for us. Therefore, if we are choosing something, but inside of us we lack joy and communion with the Father, or if we feel that what we are doing is wrong, we should not proceed with our intent. 

David’s request in this Psalm came from the Most High’s heart. Being so, it serves for all people. Therefore, as we look to the king’s petition, we must be watchful, because we will also have an answer. In fact, we should not do anything, absolutely nothing, without consulting our God. Since He is our Father and Friend, He will show us the best way.

The Omniscient has already responded to the requests that are in the Holy Scriptures. We only need to observe them; after all, the Most High will not leave us without His direction. Now, since He is not a God of confusion (1 Co 14.33), His declarations are clear and precise. Whoever is always in contact with the Bible receives both the orientation and the capacity to act correctly.

The decisions that are firmed in what the Lord says will fill the nets of the obedient. It does not matter how many times you tried to do something and did not manage to do it. If the direction of the Most High and His anointing is over your head now, agree with Him and emit your order. This is the secret that will make your words operate according to the Master while He was here on Earth.

However, do not forget that it is necessary to be firm in the faith in order to obtain victory. Those who hesitate and the cowards will not get anywhere, for they do not walk boldly towards the enemy to expel him from their lives. If the Lord has promised to go ahead of us to open the way and fulfill what He promised, must we believe in His affirmation and assume the blessing? God can only do so for those who do not make Him a liar. 

Have in mind that you cannot fail in any of your decisions, for they are taken in the Name of Jesus. When you act in His Name, you are acting as a commander of the heavenly forces. Therefore, never accept any failure, or else you will carry forever a stain of defeat.
