Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him. 1 John 3.6

Many have not yet understood the meaning of serving Christ, for they continue in their sins and misdeeds. For a while, some seem to have accepted Him as their Savior and even live in God’s presence, but because of their lifestyle after a while, they can no longer be considered Christians. Jesus said: But he who endures to the end shall be saved (Matthew 24.13). This is abiding in Christ, and not in temptations!

To persevere in faith in Jesus is more than claiming to believe in Him; it is demonstrating that you actually live for Him, depending on the Lord at all times. The Messiah declared: He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him (John 6.56). It is necessary to do more than announce belonging to the Savior. It is necessary to do the divine will always. Those who are carried away by the appearance of Christians and do not seek to be well with Jesus are wrong. Believe and live!

One of the ways to identify if a person is in Christ is to observe if they live far from error. According to the Master, even the attitude of looking at a person and lusting after them is considered adultery (Matthew 5.28). Now, adulterers are not in Jesus, nor is He in them, because sin separates us from God. Those who abide in the Lord do not commit transgression, which is incompatible with the testimony of the Scriptures. Be alert and pray!

Never distance yourself from Jesus. If, by any chance, you have done something wrong, confess it and ask God for forgiveness immediately. Now, many will not be chosen because they let temptations enter their lives. The saved must continually bear good testimony, because if they are in sin, the Holy Spirit will not be on their side, testifying that they are members of the Body of Christ. God is greater than the devil!

The Biblical record goes further, saying that he who sins has never seen the Lord nor known Him. Why fool yourself with the things of the world, temptations and other hellish proposals, when your life should always be on the altar of God? When you are in communion with the Almighty, everything becomes easier, because even your enemies will be favorable to you: When a man’s ways please the LORD, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him (Proverbs 16.7).

To remain unshaken in Jesus is the secret. When this happens, we have a great profit; after all, we will not receive a negative answer to our requests, according to God’s will: If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you (John 15.7). If this is true, why don’t we remain more in Him, since we will be able to achieve the desired blessings? Our estrangement from the Lord prevents us from having more answers from the Most High.

We must strive to stand firm in our faith in Christ. Then our prayers will be answered. The Lord declared to the prophet Hosea that His people were destroyed by a very simple factor: lack of knowledge (Hosea 4.6). Faced with this possibility, let us seek the knowledge that will give us victory. By following God’s instructions, we will prevail!
