Jesus answered and said to him, Are you the teacher of Israel, and do not know these things? John 3: 10

The consideration attributed to the Word of God is shameful. As the working tool of the Lord’s servant, many do not devote sufficient time to study it. Before they read the Scriptures, they do not even pray for the divine will to be revealed to them. And that shows the reason for so much failure in their lives. Being saved and filled with the Holy Spirit, if they do not allow themselves to be taught, then they cannot rebuke the attacks of the devil.

What would be of Israel in David’s days if he did not strengthen himself in the Most High and in the strength of His power? No doubt it was not his strength or skills that made him win, but hours of consecration before the altar of God. Whoever does not engage with the Lord will not be in Jesus, nor the words of Christ will be in them. Therefore, this person will always be defeated by the temptations brought by the devil. We must be different!

In the days of the judges thousands of Midianites marched against the territory of the Israelites to take their harvest, thus, Israel impoverished. This happened because nobody sought the Lord. Today, a similar situation occurs with many families who despise the Word. They do not know that such an attitude gives the enemy the ability to destroy the family members, without anyone getting up to stop him. However, when the people cried out to God, He heard (Judges 6: 1-7).

The Most High sent the answer by a prophet who passed through the whole territory of the Israelites, delivering the divine message. The Lord said that He had given them the land, but because they did not listen to Him when He warned them not to fear the gods of those nations, the enemy was able to steal from them (Judges 6: 8-10). Many are estranged from God and therefore fear the threats of the “gods” – demons – giving a chance to be afflicted by the curse. Mercy!

Of all those who heard the prophet, only one was filled with faith and planted wheat: Gideon. When the wheat flourished, he heard that the Midianites would come. So he worked his crop to put it safe from the invaders. And an angel appeared unto him, and said: “The Lord is with you, you mighty man of valor!”, but he answered and said, “O my lord, if the Lord is with us, why then has all this happened to us?” And the angel said: “Go in this might of yours, and you shall save Israel from the hand of the Midianites. Have I not sent you?” (Judges 6: 12-14).

Many Gospel teachers do not know that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and will be forever (Hebrews 13: 8). They never cast out a demon, they do not heal the sick or solve people’s problems. Now, the Lord said that He had set us an example so that, as He did, we should do likewise. Leave everything that seems important to you aside and go talk about the love of God, because people dominated by the forces of darkness need to be freed.

Never want to be a teacher, but a student of the “school” of the Holy Spirit. It is better to do what Jesus told you to do, or else you will have problems at His second coming. The love of God – to have and keep His commandments – covers a multitude of sins. Fear not, because the Father will go before you to give you victory. It is not the time to disagree, but to obey the Go of Christ. Always be a servant, thus the Most High will be pleased with you and will love you very much.
