It is God who arms me with strength, and makes my way perfect.
Psalm 18.32
Jesus said that God dresses the lilies in such a splendorous manner that even Solomon, in all his glory, was not arrayed like one of them (Luke 12.27). David, in turn, learned that it was the Lord who armed him with strength; therefore he did not fear what man could do. Actually, king David was not intimidated by threats, since he knew that the strength with which the Most High had armed him was sufficient to defeat any evil.
David declares that God arms him with strength. Based on that, we can say that the Almighty arms us with wisdom, humility, holiness and all good things we need to come out victorious from the enemy’s attacks. So it does not matter which area of our lives the devil is attacking to bring shame on us, because our heavenly Father did not forget to equip us to endure temptation and overcome it.
However, it is not at school that we learn how not be fooled by the devil, nor are we taught by the greatest teacher how to be freed from evil forces. The secret lies in the robe with which the Lord has dressed our souls. He did not forget about you, nor did he fail to give you enough power, so that you can stand up, fight and say “no” to temptation until completely defeating the evil one.
In addition, the work that the Almighty has begun in you cannot be undone or defeated. And that is because the strength he gives to all those whom he receives as his children is sufficient to overpower any evil forces. Believe that the Lord has given you peace, and not even the worse tribulation will be able to move you. You already possess the power to overcome any evil in your life, since the strength God has given you is greater and more powerful than all your problems.
David knew there was no problem unsolvable, since he also knew that the Lord had made his way perfect. As it happened to David, you too can believe that today you are capable to act in a different and better manner than yesterday, building yourself a glorious future. With your way made perfect, the evil one cannot prevent you from being victorious, and you will destroy any evil forces that rise against you. Over time, instead of you having less and less strength – as it happens to our bodies – your spirit will become increasingly robust and determined.
Many people, as they grow older, start acting in a way that others no longer respect them. In this sense, we, children of God, must watch, because for us it is the opposite: not only are we armed with strength from the omniscient God, but we also have our way made perfect by him.
Life is so different for he who is aware of what the Lord does for him! Nevertheless, those who do not know what they can receive from God continue to live in oppression and deceit by the father of all lies – Satan. Always heed to what the Word of God says because it is the truth. The children of the Almighty will always be armed with strength and have their ways made perfect.
