And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church…     Ephesians 1.22

The work whose goal was the deliverance of mankind from Satan’s hands was the most perfect work ever accomplished in the world. It began with the line of Seth, son of Adam and Eve, and continued with Noah and his three sons who survived the Flood (Genesis 5.3; Genesis 7). However, as soon as the human race began to grow again, it was seen that man’s inclination was evil (Genesis, chapter 11). Only the new birth in Jesus creates a new being (John 3.3).

The Lord prepared things in Heaven and on Earth for the important moment when man’s deliverance would occur with the coming of His Son into the world (Acts 10.38). All that was necessary for our redemption was provided in Jesus. However, there are things that Christ needs to work in our lives in order for us to appropriate what has been accomplished by Him in His death and resurrection. The Savior will do whatever it takes!

We receive what touches us by faith, but there is a work to be done within us by repentance coming from the Holy Spirit for our good. If it were not for this gift, we would not enjoy all sorts of blessings. Refusal to heed the Word keeps us away from the Lord. Listen to all that will help you to have divine justice working in your favor. Believe and live!

James revealed the Lord’s command: Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and, you double-minded, purify your hearts (James 4.8). You turn away from the Most High when you refuse to listen to Him. One way to cover your ears is to attend to passion, which blinds and imprisons those who accept it (1 Thessalonians. 4.3-5). Why get involved in anything sinful if the result will be the same as in Eden?

When you let the Lord put all things in subjection, He will put you over them, in the position of head, of command. Then you will see how much it is worth to trust the Most High. Temptation comes in many forms, like being upset with God if He didn’t give you what you wanted. The Word declares: Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ (Ephesians 1.3).

The devil may say that you will never be happy, but the Holy Spirit speaks differently: you were chosen in Jesus before the foundation of the world. Believe it: you are included in the blessing. The Scriptures do not lie in saying so: Just as He chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love (Ephesians 1.4). Whoever believes in the devil always loses!

God wants to put all things under our feet, but many times, we don’t let Him do this. Now, unbelief nullifies the goodness and love that the Most High wants to show in our lives. Wake up! Lack of understanding deprives us of what is ours. Accept God’s mercy, which is ready to act in you, and be victorious!
