The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion.

Proverbs 28: 1

There’s no reason for a faithful Christian to be in distress whenever any ungodly man decides to assault them. Now, The Lord looks after His people with might and He’s always ready to listen to His children’s petitions. Therefore, if the devil has been using someone to cause your harm – though they might be or might have been a member of The Body of Christ – you must only pray and ask Your Father to pass onto that person the despair which is causing you harassment now. And you’ll see the outcome will be much more than we ask or think of.

The Scriptures don’t say that the sinners will flee, for they have no capacity whatsoever to frighten us; after all they have no foundation to stand firm in the battlefield against us. Now, the ungodly – among whom many of those belonged to the people of God in the past and, precisely for that reason, they are pretty much familiar with The Blessed Word– may, for a short time, even get to the point of threatening us and at times it might even seem they’re standing firm in their position; but if we ask The Lord for that desperate situation to pass onto them they’ll end up fleeing.

Bearing that declaration in mind what’s the point of fearing those who have gone astray, those who insist on trying to cause us harm? Our success is assured by the divine formula and we don’t need to make use of any spurious means to be protected. We don’t need to turn to crooks for help; we don’t need to do what the ungodly men would do once our defence stands firm in The Word of our God ITSELF.

Woe to those who stand up against a child of God – a child who knows his rights in The Lord and makes use of them all! Nobody can stand before the servants of The Most High – servants who go to war not with weaponry of flesh but that of The Spirit of The Holy God which is much more powerful (II Corinthians 10: 4). Yet, for them to be used the faithful servant just needs to believe in what the Lord speaks through His Word. Therefore, be alert, and whenever necessary, cry out what has been revealed to you.

The work is perpetrated invisibly. Despair gets into the heart of those who have given their backs to The Truth and precisely for that reason they’ll end up with no strength to keep on assaulting us. Even their own thoughts regarding us, the children of God, will cause them to feel something strange and then the only option left for them will be fleeing. The way God conducts us into victory is the safest and the most productive one. On top of that, using the biblical methodology we will neither be affected nor will we be defeated by anything.

He who trusts in The Lord becomes fearless like a lion. If your heart doesn’t have this kind of attitude you ought to seek in God the trust which will cause you to look down on the sinners’ threat however real or dangerous it might seem. Don’t take any different attitude to face up those who are persecuting you.

Your fearlessness is the compelling evidence of your trusting in The Most High. This is the way The Lord wants all of His children to live their lives. Therefore, examine yourself and if you find out that such trust is nonexistent in your heart you ought to go for it, because without it, you won’t be able to please God at all. Being brave before the ungodly or the evil man is our duty!

In Christ, with love,
