He who speaks truth declares righteousness, but a false witness, deceit.

Proverbs 12:17

Because we have been constituted by Jesus as His witnesses, it is our duty to speak the truth because otherwise we will take responsibility for what we have failed to do for the Lord. Yet, if we are faithful, we will receive the reward on the Latter Day since all acts of obedience towards the commands of the Lord will certainly be rewarded. Because the gifts of God are irrevocable we can be sure that the mission assigned to His children will never be changed; that is the reason why it is not good to fail to fulfil what have been entrusted to us.

As witnesses of the One who is the Truth we are responsible for our words. Therefore, it is prudent to be mindful of your speech because those who get involved with unproductive matters will have to take responsibility for them in the Day of Judgement. Besides, those who are influenced by what wicked men say and whose speech is not based on the Word of the Lord might cause eternal harm to those who hear their negative words as they drive people to stop believing in God and serving Him.

At all times the best thing to do is to tell the truth. The truth is not what it seems to be but what the Lord speaks. Those who do not comply with what the Bible says, but rather takes things for granted are doing a great harm to themselves, to their dearest ones and, in some cases, to their neighbors. Yet, when we abide in the Truth and stand firm on it with faith we put the power of God into action and, this way, the divine righteousness operates. Therefore, never allow the enemy to convince you that there is no solution to your case or to anybody else’s, no matter how viciously he attacks you. In so doing, those who trust in the Lord will never fail.

Our mission as children of God is to manifest His righteousness because this is how the empire of darkness is defeated. The devil will always insist on saying that there is no solution to your problems, but if you agree with that, he will be in the position of oppressing you. By using the Name of Jesus there will always be a solution against any troubles that the enemy causes in your life. So, examine what is wrong in your life now and, with faith, rebuke the temptation – whatever name it might have – and be victorious. Do not accept any oppression!

Those who speak what is not recorded in the Scriptures become false witnesses, so everything they say are deceit. There has never been an ounce of truth in the devil – who only talks nonsense – since he is the father of lies (John 8:44). Saying false things is a trait of the one who has already been defeated by our Savior.

When threatened by the enemy, do not give in because if you believe in what he says, you will allow the fulfilment of his damned and nefarious plan. Jesus instructed us to have faith in The Father because He is the only One whose words deserve to be believed. Be a true witness and live life abundantly.
