For many are called, but few are chosen.

Matthew 22:14

Being called by God to join His family is the best invitation you could ever receive in your entire life. However, if you despise the opportunity of being grafted into the divine family, you’ll be missing the greatest of all blessings: the salvation of your soul. If you have already accepted Jesus as the Lord of your life, you’re free from all devilish influences and, along with your salvation, you’ve received the power over all evil forces.

Those who despise the calling of the Lord will be lost forever. That’s the saddest thing: “eternal doom”. Jesus said that the eternal fire was prepared for the devil and his angels and those who are not saved from such condemnation will be cast into the lake that burns with fire and brimstone (Matthew 25:41). Since men’s spirit is eternal and indestructible, the lost will to continue to suffer for millions and millions of years to come.

When you decided to belong to the Lord you became part of the divine family. Now, strive to learn how to conduct yourself in the Father’s house, which is the Church of the Living God, the pillar and ground of the Truth. If you don’t learn how to act according to the teachings of the Most High, you won’t do the work appropriately. Your happiness depends on keeping and fulfilling the commandments of the Lord, so if you don’t know them how will you ever be able to fulfil them?

The right thing to do is to present yourself approved to God as a worker who doesn’t need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (II Timothy 2:15). That must be the goal of all newly-converted. Pay no notice to those who give a bad witness by living in sin or by despising the Word of God. If you want to be successful in life you ought to meditate on what is revealed to you through the Holy Scriptures and in so doing the light will brighten your way.

The Lord said that the Kingdom of God is compared to what fishermen do when they pull their nets up from the sea waters. They place the good fish in a basket but the bad ones are rejected. Once you are aware of that, strive to fulfil the divine plan because if you happen to be found unfit for the Kingdom, your future will be gloomy.

Do whatever it takes to be among the chosen ones. Use all your might in order to avoid being lured into temptation. Do not even think you might get lost, on the contrary! Make sure you do whatever is necessary so as not to be found unfit. The work for you sanctification has already been accomplished. Your sins were borne by Jesus so all you have to do now is take possession of what He’s done on your behalf.

Stay on guard for there’ll be no second chance. Those who get lost will suffer throughout eternity, which is a dreadful scenario to envision. Do not accept the idea of being cast into the lake that burns endlessly with fire and brimstone. You must strive, pray, fast and seek the Lord’s face so that such fate won’t befall you. My friend, be careful not be rejected.
