“And He said to the man who had the withered hand, “Step forward.” (Mark 3:3)
Those who seek to please God feel deep in their heart the place they must occupy in the Lord’s work. So, He gives His children all necessary instructions regarding the things they must believe in and the steps to take. You just cannot start asking the Lord whatever crosses your mind and expect to be heard. However, those who really want to be assisted by God must pay heed to His Words and stand firm on His revelations.
The best bet is to be on the alert to the Holy Spirit’s touch. Be attentive to the words that draw your attention as you hear the preaching of the Word or as you read the Bible; that’s how the Lord speaks to you and gives you counselling. Divine hints are dropped for you to turn to our Father. Yet, you won’t get any answers if you turn to Him recklessly or because you’re in need.
When men are born they are already stuck in the “chair of defeat and failure” and no preacher from any church in the world has the capacity to take them out of that place; the best they can do is to offer them the messages from the Heavens. Actually it is the Lord who has the power to deliver them and to bestow His gifts on them. However, even having heard the Word of God, they need to stand up before the Most High and take their position in God’s plan. My brethren, those who don’t do their job will end up without their promised blessings.
We must be where the Lord is without minding who’s preaching; rather, we must hear what God is saying. We need to get fully involved with the revelation that comes from the Heavens for God to operate in our lives. Those who don’t mingle with the people of God and remain wandering outside that group won’t be reached by the divine Grace. There are some who consider themselves special people or too good to take part in the divine family, but though they might’ve learned the Truth they’ll have little success in faith.
It’s so sad to see so many people missing out on their blessings. The pride they feel for their education, the family they were born to, and for their status in their community, or any other reason is surely a successful blow of the devil in their lives and they’ll end up losing their blessings. Those people do listen to the powerful message of the Gospel, but for some reason they don’t happen to mingle with our victorious people. Only those who humble themselves will be exalted.
We re-establish harmony when we accept the Word of God and surrender to it. Men were expelled from the divine presence when Adam sinned for the first time and they’ve been living far from the purpose of the Most High ever since. But all those who surrender to God’s plan will have their hand fully restored (Matthew 12:13).
