In God (I will praise His word), in God I have put my trust; I will not fear. What can flesh do to me?

Psalm 56.4

The right way to praise God is to be in him. Our whole world changes when we understand what he means, so when we are in the presence of our Father, we must put our trust in him; if we do that, we will not fear. Our flesh is weak, but our carnal desires will not control us if we have a connection with the Lord.

One of the greatest secrets to be discovered by God’s children is to have fellowship with him. He who discovers this secret and uses it finds out that God is more important than he had imagined. This connection is so beautiful and holy that those who experience it will never accept losing it. But those who have never experienced fellowship with the Lord see that, over the years, their faith will become weak, cold, dry and unproductive.

The Word of God takes the vacant place of the Lord Jesus. Whatever he would do in our midst if he were physically present he does through his Word. When we believe in the Word of God, we set God’s power into action. This understanding will change your life completely, and all anxiety, defeat and failure will leave you. After all, God’s children were made in his image, according to his likeness (Genesis 1.26).

To be in God’s presence is to have the understanding of what the Word reveals to you and take possession of it. The next step is to place your trust in him, which means not to allow in your heart any feeling of doubt or unworthiness. Those who trust in the Lord go through any trials without being afraid that they might fail or that something bad might happen to them.

This is the right and true means not to accept the devil’s temptations, which will remove you from the presence of God and make you suffer. What you learn from the Word of God is the best that the Lord has for your life, and, when you stand firm on what he declares, you will prevent the enemy from striking you. Be careful: by despising what is written in the Scriptures regarding yourself, you will allow the devil to enter your life.

Human nature is weak, whining and, if you take heed to it, it will take you to the lowest passions. But if you learn how to have fellowship with God and have him as your rock, you will be strong enough not to give in to carnal instincts. Therefore, be in Spirit, and flesh desires will lose the power to tempt you.

The truth is that evil will never strike a person who is imbued with the Holy Spirit; and this person will be able to go through life without knowing sin. It is worth remembering that there are no exceptions. The devil tempts everyone, and those who do not live according to the Word of God, will fall into error and be separated from the Lord.

In Christ, with love,
