“Then after fourteen years I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, and also took Titus with me. 2 And I went up by revelation, and communicated to them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to those who were of reputation, lest by any means I might run, or had run, in vain.” (Galatians 2:1, 2)
How have you been obedient to the divine commandments? How long have you not taken responsibility for serving the Gospel? Hasn’t God been telling you about that? Perhaps, you’re running, walking or crawling in vain. After all, we’re all saved to serve. Nobody’s excluded from the recruitment of the Lord.
It’s worrying to know some of us lack knowledge of our duty that hangs on us. That happens to most members of the Body of Christ. Many are deceiving themselves by thinking they’ve been called up to do the work of God only to enjoy His blessings; on top of that, many aren’t taking part successfully. Watch out! The enemy has worked hard to turn the people of the Lord into complete ignorant regarding spiritual matters.
Now, talking plainly: Have you ever thought you’ll be accounted for what you’ve been told to do by God one day? Or do you think you’re the one who chose Him so you don’t need to bear fruits now? What a pity if that’s your way of thinking! Listen! Not only the promises of the Almighty God are geared specially for us, but all of the commandments recorded in the Scriptures as well. Poor of us if we don’t do our duty the best way! The duty of spreading the Good News to all creation hangs on our shoulders.
The Lord’s addressing you as a bastard, not a son if He isn’t talking to you on such tremendously significant and relevant issue. How can you say you’re a member of the Body of Christ; yet, you won’t do anything for IT to work appropriately? Are you a dead limb? Now, if any of your limbs is dead, dry or unproductive, it will contaminate the whole body so it’ll have to be ripped off, don’t you agree? Would God allow any member of His Body to contaminate the rest?
Many are crawling, walking or running in an unproductive manner in faith; they haven’t learned they were saved to, among other things, fulfil the commandments of the Lord for His church. Those who live as though everything here would be over at death know absolutely nothing about the meaning of salvation to which they were called up for.
Nobody can be excluded from God’s plan. Those who do that will feel deep sorrow on the last Day to realize they were deceived by the enemy. The fascination for riches, the worries of life and the ambition for other things (Mark
4: 19) have made people fail to do their duty and that’s the reason why millions of others are heading for eternal doom.
Turn to the religious leaders our Father has recruited for His work and tell them what you’ve been doing. They’ll be used to give your new and profitable instructions.
