Jesus answered them, “Do you now believe?

John 16: 31

Believing in God is utterly significant for everything in this life. Abraham would most probably have lost his blessing or he would have not been known as the “father of the believers” if he had not believed in what God had commanded him to do. The same would have happened to David and others used by The Lord in their generations, but, on the other hand, many may have been intimidated and, sadly, we have not heard anything of them.

It is very likely that someone has been walking with Christ for many years, but they do not truly believe in Him yet. That is very dangerous considering that if a tougher trial comes up in their life they will fall. The fact of people living their lives in sin signals that they do not believe in The Most High considering that temptation is like any other disease or any other issue that might come up anytime. The author of temptations is the devil, and those who believe in The Lord manage to be delivered from all evil.

The disciples had seen our Master performing all kinds of miracle, from the resurrection of the dead to the healing of blind born people, but almost at the end of the ministry of Jesus they cried out saying that, at that point, they did believe in Him. That happens to all Christians who do not live their lives based on The Word. Those who do not stick to all The Word granted to them by The Lord show that they do not truly believe in Him.

In fact, some preachers do not fully believe in The Most High either and that is the reason why when someone turns to them for a prayer to sort out a serious issue they come up with a diplomatic chatter and try to convince that person that there are matters to which no logical explanation are available. Those who do not believe in God do not trust that they will be answered and, on top of that, fearing being exposed as a masked faith, they make up lies and as a result devilish doctrines come out.

When Jesus explained the importance of faith and when His disciples saw the reason why their prayers failed so many times they finally confessed that they did believe in Him. It is not a shame to confess that you believe in Jesus only quite a while after you have accepted Him as your Saviour even though you might have been considering yourself as a servant of God since then! Yet, it is a mistake to deceive you and others by giving excuses which are nothing but hellish treachery.

Check out your faith and see if you really believe in Jesus! Now I ask you, “If, by any chance, someone came up to you with an unsolved issue and asked for your assistance in prayer would you have faith to pray being certain that the miracle would be fulfilled?” If the answer to that is no you are in great danger considering that sooner or later the enemy will come against your life with a stronger attack and you will get desperate for not knowing what to do.

Seek the Lord with all you heart. Take out the hurts, the resentment and any other bad feelings that are hindering your faith to operate successfully. Answer to this question: What would you do if the devil came up and had a good laugh on your current situation, by saying that such a matter will never be sorted out? Due to lack of faith there are many unresolved issues in your life.

In Christ, with love,
