For you yourselves know, brethren, that our coming to you was not in vain. But even after we had suffered before and were spitefully treated at Philippi, as you know, we were bold in our God to speak to you the gospel of God in much conflict. For our exhortation did not come from error or uncleanness, nor was it in deceit.

I Thessalonians 2:1-3

Our getting into a place – either in our work place, in our family, among friends or the church – must never be in vain, inoperative, since we were chosen by the Lord Jesus to give everlasting fruits. Therefore, wherever we go we are to plant the good Seed and, by doing so, IT will produce fruits in the end. But I have to remind you that it’s up to the ploughman to be accountable for the preservation of the soil and to respect each plantation season. Those who are disrespectful of the plantation and the harvesting rules will not be successful. Likewise, a Christian who does the work of God recklessly works in vain.

The devil did all he could to prevent the servants of God from obeying the divine commandment by bringing a great persecution onto them at Philippi with extreme suffering. Nonetheless, those men willing to even die for the Lord were not intimidated by their suffering; on the contrary, they praised God amidst so much pain instead. With that, the divine power caused an earthquake in the prison in which they had been cast, and it turns out that what seemed to be harmful ended up becoming something of a huge profit to The Kingdom of Heavens. With suffering they became bold in the Lord.

Sometimes God something bad to happen to us so we’ll wake up. However, the best thing to do is not to wait for persecution or any suffering for us to get hands on; instead, we have to believe in what the Most High has been speaking into our hearts and go for the fulfilment of His will. Then He will be with us every time we’re abiding by His “Go command!” Nonetheless, if we do not obey Him his hands will get tied up to help us and to meet our requests.

Our mission is to speak up about the Gospel with great boldness in that the spiritual combat must always be made. Even though a preacher is invited to convey a message at a conferring of degrees ceremony, he needs to consecrate himself to God and – before the student body and faculty, as well as the authorities and all the audience in general – with wisdom, hand out the message that our Father put in his heart.

No child of God is to get out of bed before being in the holy and mighty Presence of The Lord. So, if any evil arrow is fired against him, against his beloved ones or against someone who had asked him for his assistance, he must at once use the power of the Name of Jesus which was entrusted to him. It is necessary to be a soldier on duty all the time.

Our exhortation does not have to come out of our minds, but out of the revelation that God gives us in His Word. If it comes from us it will be so with error, uncleanness and deceit. Everything created by men is worthless in the divine work for only The Word of the Lord has the necessary power to break down strongholds and all power from the enemy.
