Cast your burden on the LORD, and He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.

Psalm 55:22

The Lord of the Heavens and the Earth always advises us about what to do with our concerns. He, who created us, knows the inward man; therefore His Word tells us not to be anxious about anything (Philippians 4:6a). Well, all God\’s guidelines should be taken seriously, but oftentimes we just cannot stand the pressures of our daily life and we end up getting upset. However, we must obey our \”Maker\”, our Creator, because in so doing we will succeed in any circumstance. On the other hand, he who is disobedient will pay an exceedingly high price for not heeding His ordinances.

What does it mean “to cast our burden on the Lord”? This is not difficult or impossible, otherwise He would not have told to us to do that. It means recognizing what is troubling your heart and telling it to the Lord in prayer letting Him know of your fears and putting your life under the Lord’s care.

It is in your spirit that God works, and the Word says that He will sustain you. So, wait for your heart to be strengthened and do not get desperate to see if your problem has already been solved. Upon receiving the divine power, you will be able to address evil and order it to leave and to not return anymore. The fact that the Lord will sustain you means you will fight the enemy and defeat him. God’s part will be done in your life, and you will be endowed with the ability to exercise your rights.

When we examine how, in the Old Testament, the servants of the Most High performed the work, we see that they were the ones who waged war. This sets an example to us: the Almighty has sustained us, He has granted us power and skills but we have to demand the enemy to beat a retreat. If we keep silent, the Lord will not be able to operate; however, if we are active and claim the fulfillment of what is written about us, the work will be finished.

An important event happens in the life of every person who decides to do his or her part in the service of God: they discover they are the very agents that trigger the divine power. Some start to cry out day and night, begging for the favor of God and expecting Him to do what they are supposed to do. Now, he who obeys what the Scriptures say will never be moved (Psalm 62:6), but will shake the foundations of hell.

My brethren, your body may be weak and your mind may tell you that you are not going to make it. If everything around you says you cannot go any further, do not accept this lie! Fulfill your mission successfully with the help of the divine sustenance. Whoever wants to truly overcome evil must follow the divine recipe: rise up with faith in what the Word of God says and your deliverance will be a living reality. God knows why He leads us into acting like that!
