06/07/2013 - CEASING ALL BLASPHEMY AGAINST THE NAME OF JESUS

O God, how long will the adversary reproach? Will the enemy blaspheme Your name forever?

Psalm 74:10

It is necessary for us to understand that in the spiritual world, we are called by the Name of the Lord, for we are His sons and members of the body of Christ. Therefore, we cannot allow the enemy to provoke us, making fun of our faith and causing us to suffer. The truth is that when this happens, we are allowing blasphemy against the name of God. However, our option should always be to live victoriously.

What are your thoughts like? Do you allow them to be flooded by the moral trash surrounding your daily routine? If this happens to you, the enemy is blaspheming against the good name of our Savior, and it is your fault. All those that belong to God should take good care of the temple of the Lord. The divine commandment is that we should be holy, for He is holy. (1 Peter 1:16) Christians should not accept any kind of affront.

We should not allow the actions of the enemy in our lives, for we have already received the same power that Jesus had, when the Holy Spirit came upon us. Our eyes must be pure; our hands must be clean; our mind should only think of things that are pure, and our judging should always be according to the Word of God, allowing the divine mercy to lead our actions.

If David had been wise, when Bathsheba “tempted” him, he would not have allowed the devil to blaspheme the name of the Lord. The king committed adultery and fell into deep sin, and his act allowed his enemies to blaspheme. Differently from the Psalmist, we should flee from every kind of sin, because behind a “meaningless” attitude, there’s always a malign plan being executed. Remember that sin will always brings shame to whoever commits it.

Because of Satan’s blasphemy, the child that was born due to that sinful relation died. Through this example, we see that the error that brings happiness to one person will bring sadness to another one. Whoever gets involved with somebody else’s spouse doesn’t consider the sadness that shall never fade inside the betrayed person’s heart. Is it really worth it to be unfaithful and to enjoy dirty and transitory pleasures of sin? Ask anyone who has already sinned in this matter and you will see.

We must give honor to the name that is above all names, facing temptation but not giving into temptation. This glorifies our Father! The devil, knowing that your shame is gone when you accept Jesus as your savior, desires to embarrass you once again. Therefore, be firm against the traps from hell.

You are very important to God. He made you to be His glory on Earth; so if you’ve already fallen, repent; if you are feeling tempted, be sober and don’t allow yourself to be fooled by the enemy. Your clothes should always be white; therefore, do not contaminate yourself, because holiness should be the mark of the Lord in you.
