The heavenly guidance is that we celebrate the Lord, and such guidance is intended for all the residents of the Promised Land, the saved. The celebration must be with joy – extreme happiness. Believers cannot be overtaken by sadness, even if it comes from a great and terrible treason, because they are enrooted in the Lord and not in man. In fact, He told us not to trust our fellow men, not even our better half (Jeremiah 17:5)
Celebrating God must be done with great gladness, just as it happened when they took the ark from Shiloh: And when the ark of the covenant of the Lord came into the camp, all Israel shouted so loudly that the earth shook. (1 Samuel 4:5) So the Philistines were afraid, for they said, “God has come into the camp!” And they said, “Woe to us! For such a thing has never happened before. (1 Samuel 4:7)
David’s attitude toward the Lord was a sense of full happiness, for as he faced the giant Goliath, he declared: You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a shield. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied (1 Samuel 17:45). The young pastor showed that praise is a decision too, for he knew that the Almighty would use him. And you, what do you say?
When the ark was being brought to Jerusalem, King David danced and jumped before the Lord, but his wife, Saul’s daughter, saw him acting like this and disdained him (2 Samuel 6.16). Many are not yet free, so they are shy when worshiping God. But those who know the Lord do not waste time and give Him true praise, besides showing that in their heart there is an overflowing joy for eternal life. Jesus is our Happiness!
In the battle against Goliath, David responded with enthusiasm, singing a song that caused the giant to crumble: This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you and take your head from you. And this day I will give the carcasses of the camp of the Philistines to the birds of the air and the wild beasts of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel (1 Samuel 17.46). This is the way God wants to see us when we face evil. Keep watch!
Never do something in the Name of Jesus with sadness in your heart, suspecting that the Lord will not confirm His Word. You show that you are His servant by doing what He says with gladness: I´m the One who confirms the word of His servant, and performs the counsel of His messengers; Who says to Jerusalem, ‘You shall be inhabited,’ to the cities of Judah, ‘You shall be built,’ and I will raise up her waste places (Isaias 44:26). Hallelujah!
When you gladly keep the commandments given to you and delight yourself in the Lord, you put the mighty hand of God at work on your behalf. Even the prayer of one who fears Him, if it is done with confidence and in a glad tone, gives those who do so the assurance of being heard, even before they say amen!
In Christ, with love,

Lord, You are worthy of our rejoicing! We want to always exult in Your presence, in the prayer and praise that we give You, with enthusiasm and much rejoicing, for You are the Reason of our lives. With Your joy, we want to serve, love and praise You!
May there be a satisfaction in our lives as we never thought there would be, for You are our song, our delight, and everything that can be said about what You represent for us. Who would we be if You had not saved and blessed us?
It is with a joyful heart that we come before You in order to express our thanks for Your call and consequent choice to be Your beloved children and members of the Body of Christ. We are grateful for Your salvation!
