And I will shake all nations, and they shall come to the Desire of All Nations, and I will fill this temple with glory,’ says the LORD of hosts.  Haggai 2.7

The spiritual earthquake occurred in the heavenly regions, when Jesus cried out: It is finished (John 19:30b). Moreover, the Most High has put His blessings in those places for all of us (Ephesians 1:3; 2 Peter 1:3,4). It is impossible for God to look at a person and command him to stop receiving what He has given him. Christ suffered our ills and at the same time, purchased the right of the lost to declare themselves saved, and the sick healed. Hallelujah!

The great shakings that have taken place in various parts of the Earth are not part of the shaking that will take place in the nations. Haggai prophesied this, five hundred years before Christ came and died on Calvary to replace us. The Lord’s ordeal delivered men from the evils they should suffer for giving heed to the devil. So now we can be blessed. Future events will prove the following truth: Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life (John 14:6)!

Religions will show themselves to be inoperative against the Word, because after all, they will never offer the people a response to match the aggression suffered. Only the Son of God, Jesus of Nazareth, the Creator Word, has the power to confront the false prophet, the man of sin. This will happen, and everyone will see this being succumb to the breath of the Lord (2 Thessalonians 2:3-10). He is the personification of deception, but Christ is the mighty and faithful God!

Then, as they witness the Desire of the Nations coming in the clouds, many will rejoice. He will put an end to the world’s corrupt system. Corruption is intrinsic to those who rule, and all will embitter eternity in the lake of fire. Only those who believe in the Name of Jesus and love Him will ascend to Glory. At the Messiah’s return, there will be no opportunity for the lost to be saved, for their disdain for the Gospel will mean that they will lack oil for the wedding (Matthew 25.1-13).

At the time, the mountains of armaments will be like nothing. The glory of God is infinitely greater than any warlike power. Weapons only operate where the fear of God is non-existent. But on the Day of the Lord, the “toys” of the nations will be children’s toys indeed. The nations will tremble and lament for their mistake.

The Earth will be filled with the divine glory, and this glory will extend because the chosen people, although they have always been small in number, have never been destroyed. Now, the righteous, God-fearing people should not fear any hellish threat. By calling on the Name of the Almighty, all and any oppression will be annihilated. The Word is God the Son Himself in the form in which man can have contact with Him. It takes the absent place of Jesus (John 1:1-14)!

It is time to fear and respect the holy name of the Most High. Now, if the enemy comes like a flood of water, the Spirit of the Lord soon raises his banner against him (Isaiah 59:19). Let your body, God’s temple, be filled with heavenly grace. Seek and find your Maker. Live fully your faith in Jesus!
