Some fell on stony ground, where it did not have much earth; and immediately it sprang up because it had no depth of earth. Mark 4.5

After some years, the hearts of many followers of Jesus get filled with “stones”. This happens because of the demons’ actions, and many do not notice it. It does not matter what happened to you – you cannot lose touch with the Lord or let these stones be formed inside of your heart. Just as a renal dysfunction creates kidney stones, a dysfunction in faith and love will also create stones in the heart.

While there are barriers in your life, you will lose the blessings. God’s process of blessing us was compared by the Lord as the work of a sower. He warns us that wherever there are stony grounds, the Seed will not develop because of the situations that happen. The enemy knows that this is the only way to stop you from being blessed and from being an opposition to him. Thus, he does this so that you might be resentful with everyone.

The stony heart receives the Word with joy, which is right. It is filled with happiness and believes that all its problems will be solved. But unfortunately, Christ did not say that it would be so. Soon after the Seed falls in the heart, there will be persecutions and tribulations because of the Word. Then, since the new little plant does not have a deep root, it will die. Do not let this happen.

This subject is serious. It there are stones there will be no depth of earth. Still, even if a person might strive to be rooted in the Master, he will not be able to do so. Therefore, check what the devil has placed in your heart. Seek the person that offended you and talk to her, recognizing your mistake and forgiving hers (Lk 17.3). When you take away the stones, your heart becomes a fertile land.

Everyone will go through times of tribulation or persecution because of the Scriptures. There is nothing wrong in going through a series of problems. What is wrong is to have stones in your interior, for even if the Seed strives to produce fruits, it will wither. This warning is for you not to allow the enemy shame you or oppress you. The Seed is what lacks for you to be blessed.

Those who walk away from God are a portrait of this kind of soil. Therefore, they will never see the Word producing what it was ordered. Ask God for repentance and get rid of all the bitterness. Pray and believe that the Father will give everything you need to accomplish the works and be fulfilled as His Son.

Those who are scandalized leave the Way and immerse in the darkness, from where they will never leave. However, those who repent and reconcile with the person they betrayed or by whom they were betrayed will testify that when the heart is freed of stones, no Word sent by the Lord shall return to Him void (Is 55.11).
