12/02/2016 - COMMANDMENT NUMBER ONE

He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.   John 14:21

It is not only important to understand the message, to feel emotional with it and promise to do according to its guidance, but it´s important to keep it and fulfill it. There is a much greater purpose in obeying what was revealed to you, and we will know this in eternity. Those who despise the Word of God will perish and will not have the capacity of sustaining the trials of life and resisting the temptations presented by the devil. 

Jesus spoke of a son that will answer right away the order to go to work given by his father. However, this young man later repented or forgot about what he had committed himself to and he did not show up to work (Matthew 21:28-32). Many will repent too late of the decision they made after they had assured they would do what they were ordered. However, such attitude will not help them, for they will already have caused themselves a tremendous loss. To obey is always better than sacrificing ( 1 Sam 15:22). 

According to what Jesus said on the verse we are studying, to have them commandments and keep them is the secret to life. Besides, those who act this way are proving that they love the Lord and they are qualifying themselves for even greater works the Lord God will allow them to do, which, undoubtedly, will give them great gain and pleasure in eternal life. As a Father, the Most High loves us, and He allows us to treasure for life by His side (Luke 12:33). Therefore, never fail to accomplish one precept of the Most High. 

For those that love Jesus, there will be an eternal reward, but they will also receive blessings today, for they will be loved by the Father. Now, if someone has divine love, the enemy will think twice before trying to attack this person, because if he does so, he will immediately prove the celestial wrath. “Do not touch My anointed ones”, is what the Holy Scripture declares (1 Chronicles 16:22). The door of Heaven´s storehouse will be opened to all those that are obedient. 

There are many people that need to examine what they did to what was assigned for them to do. If they have been negligent, they will not have the Father´s love working in their favor. Most assuredly, the greatest tragedy that someone can suffer is to not have God´s love; after all, with God, this person will not lack anything in all areas of life. So then, why live without this love and become a target to the darts of the enemy?

Those who follow divine commands, besides being loved by God, they will also be loved by Jesus; so then, everything will go well with them. Now, if the Lord paid a high price to save us, we can be certain that once again, He will do what is necessary for the works of the devil not to strike us. This gives us the assurance of living free from suffering and surrounded by good things. 

The Lord of lords promised to manifest Himself to those who love Him. Therefore, a simple attitude from our part will grant us a wonderful future. There is nothing better than fulfilling God´s commands, isn’t that right? If the best in life does not cost us anything, why not pay this price: Be wise in your decision and enjoy the best of God!
