So he called the name of the place Massah and Meribah, because of the contention of the children of Israel, and because they tempted the LORD, saying, “Is the LORD among us or not?” Now Amalek came and fought with Israel in Rephidim.

Exodus 17: 7, 8

People who cannot get an answer from God through faith, but they push Him to do so through someone else’s intercession, may even get what they want, but in the end they will undoubtedly experience a hard time they never wished for. The best way is sticking to the biblical benchmark considering that that is the way for us to take possession of what we need. Well, owners do not need to carry out scheming to get their hands on their ownership.

All rebellion calls for a punishment because it does not come from faith. The best way for us to get the divine assistance is through the assurance placed in our hearts by The Lord; in doing so, it turns out that we will never displease Him. It is easy for an enemy to oppress those who are not taking attitudes by faith. God can only answer those who please Him. We are pleasing God when we behave by faith. If we do otherwise He will not be pleased in us.

The Word is straightforward in saying that everything that does not come from faith is sin (Romans 14: 23). Therefore, you must refuse saying a prayer or doing any other thing unless you do so by faith, since it works like a sign which allows you to determine your blessing in The Name of Jesus. Once you have received faith you must undo the lies of the devil. You must know that the evil the devil is trying to place in your life is a lie because Jesus already took upon Himself the suffering you should go through.

You must never provoke The Lord. The reason why He may not be answering you at this point is due to the fact that the necessary requirements for His operation to start off have not been met yet. It would be good for us to always take attitudes upon what The Divine Verb speaks. Those who behave that way will have all their determinations fulfilled; after all, The Word of The Lord does not confiscate any asset from those who live their lives righteously (Psalm 84: 11). Standing in righteousness is about taking attitudes according to the standards shown in The Scriptures by our Father.

The children of Israel caused harm to themselves and also to the Amalekites. Due to the fact that the people of God gave room to the enemy, Amalek fought against him. The Amalekites acted cowardly considering that, bit by bit, they took position behind the rows of the Israelites and then they destroyed some of those. That fact was terribly disgusting to The Lord who then swore that, one day, He would indeed exterminate those people.

The Bible teaches us that faith comes from hearing and hearing through The Word of God (Romans 10: 17). Those who do not strive to understand IT – or do not assume IT as true – though they even understood ITS directions; and yet, they will not put IT into practice – will never receive real faith without which nobody will ever please The Lord (Hebrews 11: 6).

It is a good idea to be careful so your attitudes will not drive you away from The Lord as well as cause other people from feeling the desire to cause you any harm in the future. Otherwise, just like Amalek, you will have to pay a high price. Wouldn’t it be better if we were always in the presence of The Lord? How about taking that attitude right away?

In Christ, with love,
