Has His mercy ceased forever? Has His promise failed forevermore? Psalm 77:8

In his ramblings, Asaph wondered if the Lord’s kindness and all His promises, revealed from generation to generation, had ended. The psalmist had not realized that the devil had bound him, and this is serious. Christ conditioned our freedom, saying: Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed (John 8:31). Be a true disciple!

Whoever does not abide in the Word loses what should be their property; after all, the work has already been done. Remember: For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen! (Romans 11:36). To disbelieve the revelation that God sends is the most serious mistake that should never be made. Who is interested in making us not trust the Almighty? The devil. Why pay attention to the liar when believing in the Truth fills us with blessings? Live!

The psalmist even asked whether the Creator’s mercy was finished forever. This only happens to those who despise it. In saving us, the Lord had a well-defined purpose: our deliverance. If we do not persevere in what He says, we will never be free. Many are church members, or a maneuvering mass, doing the same as the fans of a sports team – just cheering. It is necessary to have true fellowship!

When you were saved, God had a good hope for you. He wanted to see you as Jesus, His Son, saw everything, here in this world. The Master lived in constant consecration, going from place to place to teach the Truth, preach the Word, and use divine power (Acts 10:38). In His heart, there was not the slightest doubt that the Father would hear Him when He cried out. That is why even the dead He raised from the dead. Why don’t we have such faith? We must listen to the Most High!

The Lord’s good hope does not cease when we sin, but becomes unable to help us, because sin separates us from Him (Isaiah 59:1,2). At this point, the mission of the Holy Spirit comes in, convincing us of sin, righteousness and judgment (John 16:8). The wide door pleases many people and fascinates them. Many times, they come to like it, but in their innermost being they feel that they are walking on a path contrary to that of the Lord. Then, when they need Him, they pray, but nothing happens. It is good to watch and pray!

God’s promise to make us His children works in any age, but for those who do not turn to Him – it´s as if it has ended. Now, though the heavens and the earth may pass away, Jesus’ words will never pass away (Mark 13:31). We need to go back to where we left Him, for He is there, ready to lead us to the eternal Home. It is only guided by the Most High that the sinner leaves the path to the lake of fire and brimstone. Don’t play with your eternal happiness.

At this moment, bow your head, close your eyes and open your heart to God. Only He can draw you out of perdition. There is no use in last-minute repentance. In the parable of the virgins, the foolish ones did not enter the Kingdom, because they lacked anointing. They went looking for it and got it, but when they returned, the door was closed to them (Matthew 25:1). This is your time to seek God!

In Christ, with love,

God of good hope! We must live close to You. That way, suffering will not reach us in eternity. We cannot play with our happiness! Whoever is not in communion with You will be placed in the group standing to Your left.

We need Your help! Open our eyes for us to see how we stand before You. We cannot live in uncertainty, risking our salvation, making excuses that will never get us out of eternal damnation. Have compassion on the weak!

Don't let our hearts enjoy the offers of the wide door, Hell. We want to really love You, walking according to Your guidance, so that day doesn't catch us by surprise. Mercy, Father!
