For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.

Romans 6:14

The revelation contained in this verse is a truth that must never be forgotten because hell shall never exert dominion over the children of God. We are forever free to live the blessings that have been granted to us in Christ Jesus, and forever will we be in Heaven, in total safety! Even if he tries, the devil will never be able to control those who have been redeemed, cleansed and purified by the blood of Jesus and anointed by the Holy Spirit.

The yoke of sin is certainly the worst of all forms of slavery that mankind has ever known, because in addition to oppressing those who get carried away by temptations and keeping them in the enemy’s clutches, it also ruins people’s lives and eventually convey them into the thickest of darkness. Bear this in mind: there will always be a demon behind every temptation. Therefore, he who heeds what the enemy tells him will pay too high a price.

No one disagrees at the fact that freedom is the best thing we can enjoy. Nonetheless, even though they are aware of that there are people who, while engaged in the holy ministry, are carried away by temptations and thereby end up missing out on the grace of God. In a sense, we can compare the temptation to a well-produced Hollywood movie in which everything is seemingly beautiful: people wear nice clothes and live lavishly but when the story ends we realize it was not real. The moment passion takes over someone’s soul that person starts to live a fantasy. But when they realize that what happened to them was nothing but an illusion then they start to feel disgusted and angry over what happened.

The greatest blessing that the Almighty had to offer to man – who had fallen and therefore was deprived of the divine presence – is His grace. The work that Christ did was thorough and redeemed us from Satan\’s grip. But the best thing is that the Lord\’s grace – this wonderful power that works in our favor – was placed on our lives. Now, we can be governed by this marvelous law of love, which helps us in every way.

So why let the enemy reign over your life if you are under God\’s grace? Those who are driven by Grace will never fail to have the power they need to face the onslaughts of the devil. They can declare that a thousand may fall at their side and ten thousand at their right hand, but it shall not come near them (Psalm 91:7). Dear reader, do not be enslaved by any temptation. Being a servant of God is infinitely better than being a slave to sin and lusts!
