One of the examples left by Peter is to exhort everyone concerning the matters of the Kingdom of God, not to stray from the Way. Now, if we have had the glory of knowing Jesus as Savior, we must become His servants and strive to do His will, which is to save sinners. It is sad to see some people despising or avoiding the commandments, becoming irresponsible in their faith in God!
At that stage of his life, the experienced apostle was no longer the impulsive man of his youth. Now, being a mature servant, he felt the need to remind people never to turn away from the act of serving the Lord. Whoever is led away by temptations, with time, stops seeking the Most High and doesn’t even realize that he has distanced himself from Him, living as if lost. This is dangerous. If you don’t return to your first love, you may be lost forever. Take care of yourself and come back to Jesus!
Man knows what is good and what is bad. In His days on Earth, Christ warned us not to leave God’s temple empty, which is us. According to the Lord, the same unclean spirit that is cast out of our hearts, when we are saved, will come back to see how his house is, and if it is empty, we will suffer greater harm, because this evil spirit will bring seven other beings worse than him to disturb us (Matthew 12.43-45). Pray!
Peter had made the decision to exhort, and we should follow him, for not all people can persevere in faith and holiness. Reckless servants change masters – they leave the Almighty and return to serve the king of wickedness. Mercy! This has happened to many! Some have been blinded by darkness and expect Jesus to be kind to them. Repent now!
What we learn from God must be passed on to our neighbor. Godly counsel does good to those who receive it. When we are enlightened by the Word, we can see everything correctly. That is why we have to take the Good News to as many people as possible. Understand: whoever uses the light of Heaven will never forget you. And just as you want men to do to you, you also do to them likewise (Luke 6.31).
We know the things that Peter warned us about, but for some twisted reason, we do not take our place in Christ and with that, we become weak. Some get involved in sins and evil desires and do not seek the Lord to solve their problems. Now, the devil wants to destroy people’s lives. So, they don’t know their rights. Watch, pray and believe!
Becoming children of God, we need to live the Lord’s call properly, giving good results in His work. We did not choose to be disciples of the Master, but He chose and appointed us to produce fruits worthy of repentance (John 15.16). The world needs us to be steadfast in Christ.
In Christ, with love,

Heavenly Father! Many times, we cry out to You and are not heard, because the error will not let us hear Your guidance. Now, we come to Your presence to thank You for all that You say to us. Thus, we will attain the victory over our enemies!
May we have the ability to understand Your Word, to fulfill Your will as You wish! There is nothing better than to become aware of what we have failed to do, and, with Your help, carry out Your plans. We desire to truly serve You!
Although we know these things, we have been sloppy in not responding to what You give us, such as the forgiveness of sins, the healing of sicknesses, and the solution of problems. Lord, may our lives be as You have planned!
